Defogging the windscreen
Youcan usethisfunction to de-icethe wind-
screen or to defogthe inside of the wind screen
andthe side windows.
NOTE
Youshould only select the “Windscreen demisting”
function until the windscreen is clear again.
Activating the “Windscreen demisting”
function:
Makesure the ignition switch is in the ON posi-
tion.

The climate control system switches to the fol-
lowingfunctions:

High temperature

Air distributiontothe windscreen and front side
windows

Air-recirculation mode off
NOTE

The “Windscreen demisting” function automati-
callysets the blower output to the optimum de-
mistingeffect.Asaresult,theairflow mayincrease
or decreaseautomatically after the
m
button
is pressed.

Youcan adjust the blower output manually while
the “Windscreen demisting” function is in opera-
tion. Turn airflow control

Deactivating the “Windscreen demisting”
function:
Pressthe
m button. The indicator lamp in
the
m button goesout. Theprevioussettings
are reactivated. Air-recirculation mode remains
deactivated.

Defoggingthe windows
Windows misted uponthe inside:
1. Activate the
m “Cooling with air
dehumidification” function.
2. If the windows continue to mist up, activate
the
m “Windscreen demisting” function.

screen is clear again.
Windows misted up on the outside:
1. Activate the windscreen wipers.
2. Set the air distributionto
m or m .
NOTE

Air recirculation mode
Youcan deactivate the flow of fresh air if un-
pleasant odours areentering the vehicle from
outside. Theair alreadyinside the vehicle will
then be recirculated.
If youactivate air-recirculation mode, the win-
dows canmistupmore quickly, in particular at
low
te
