Your vehicle is equipped with aBluetooth®
Hands-Free Phone System. If youare an owner
of acompatible Bluetooth® enabled mobile
phone, youcan set up the wirelessconnection
betweenyour mobile phone and the in-vehicle
phone module

nology, youcan make or receive atelephone call
with your mobile phone in your pocket.
Onceamobile phone is connected to the in-ve-
hiclephone module, the procedure forconnect-
ing the phone does not need to be performed
again. Your phone is automatically selected by
the in-vehicle phone module when the power
switch is switched to the ON position with the
selected mobile phone turned on and carried in
the vehicle.
Youcan register upto5different Bluetooth®
mobile phones to the in-vehicle phone module.
However, youcan talk on only one mobile phone
atatime.
The VoiceRecognition system supports phone
commands, so dialling aphone number using
your voiceispossible.

Before using the Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone
System, refer to the following notes.
WirelessLAN (Wi-Fi) and the Bluetooth® functions
share the same frequency band (2.4 GHz). Using
the Bluetooth® and wirelessLAN functionsatthe
sa
me time mayslow down or disrupt communica-
tionsand could causeundesired noise. It is recom-
mended that youturn wirelessLAN (Wi-Fi) off when
using the Bluetooth® functions.
Set up the wirelessconnection between acompat-
ible mobile phone and the in-vehiclephone mod-
ulebefore usingtheBluetooth® Hands-FreePhone
System.
SomeBluetooth® enabled mobile phones maynot
be recognised by the in-vehicle phone module.
Consult an INFINITI Centre or qualified workshop or

fordetails regarding phone compatibility.
Depending on the types of mobile phones, text
messaging functionsmay not work with thissys-
tem.
Youwillnot be able to useahands-free phone un-
der the following conditions:
Yourvehicle is outside the service areafor
your mobile phone network.
Your vehicle is in an areawhere it is diffi-
cult to receive radio waves, such as in a
tunnel, in an underground parking
garage,behind atallbuilding or in a
mountainous area.
Your mobile phone is lockedinorder to
preventdialling.
When theradio wave condition is not idealor ambi-
ent sound is too loud, it maybedifficult to hear the
other person’s voiceduring acall.
The system maynot be able to receive phone calls
immediately after the power has been turned on.
Do notplace the mobile phone in an area
surroundedbymetal or farawayfrom the in-ve-
hicle phone module to preventtone quality degra-
dation andwireless connection disruption.
Whileamobile phone is connected through the
Bluetooth® wirelessconnection, the batteryofthe
mobile phonemay dischargequickerthanusual.
IftheBluetooth® Hands-Free PhoneSystem seems
to be malfunctioning, consult an INFINITI Centre or
qualifiedworkshop for support.
