To fold the seat:
1. Ensure head restraints are properly stowed,
see
“Headrestraints” later in thissection
.
2. Releasethe seatbacklockbypulling the re-
leasehandle.
3. Fold the seat forward.
4. Insert the seat belt into the seat belt holder.
To return the seat to an upright position:
1. Makesure the seat belts are clear of the seat
latchmechanism.
2. Lift theseatbackupand push firmly to lock.
3. If thered marker is visible then the seat has
not latched properly — releaseand then re-
latchthe seat.
4. Adjust the head restraints from the stowed
position to aposition in whichthey lockse-
curely in place, see
“Headrestraints” later in
thissection
.
CAUTION
Alwaysensure that the seat belt is not trapped in the
releaselever or any other vehicle part.

systems. Theymay provide additional protection
againstinjuryincertain rear end collisions.Adjust the
head restraints properly, as specified in thissection.
Checkthe adjustment after someone else uses the
seat.Donot attachanything to the head restraint
stalksorremove the head restraint.Donot use the
seat if the head restrainthas been removed. If the
headrestraintwas removed, reinstalland properlyad-
justthe head restraint before an occupant uses the
seating position. Failure to follow these instructions
canreducethe effectivenessofthe head restraints.
Thismay increasethe riskof seriousinjuryordeath in
acollision.

Your vehicle is equipped with head restraints that
maybeintegrated, adjustable or non-adjustable.

Adjustable head restraints have multiple notches
alongthe stalk to lockthem in adesired adjust-
ment position.

The non-adjustable head restraints have asingle
locking notchtosecure them to the seat frame.
•
Proper Adjustment:
– Forthe adjustable type, align the head re-
straintso thecentre ofyour earisapproxi-
mately level with the centre of the head
restraint.
