SYSTEM TEMPORARILYUNAVAILABLE
If theFEB stopsworking due to amalfunction or
some other reason, one of the following three
messages will be displayed in the vehicle infor-
mation display.
•
[Emergency Brakecurrently unavailable See Own-
er’sManual]
•
[Emergency Brakeinoperative]
•
[Radarsensors dirty See Owner’s Manual]
Foreachofthese messages, and possible
causes and solutionsare listed below.
[Emergency Brakesystem currently unavailable
SeeOwner’s Manual]: The FEB system is tempo-
rarily inoperative. Possiblecauses:
•
Theradarsensorsystemistemporarilyinoperative,
forexample,due toelectromagneticradiation emit-
ted by nearby TV or radio stationsorother sources
of electromagnetic radiation.
•
The system is outside the operating temperature
range.
•
The on-board voltageistoo low.
Oncethe causes listed above no longer apply,
the display message goes out. The FEB system
is operative again.
If thedisplay message does not disappear:
•
Pull over and stop the vehicle safely as soon as
possible, paying attention to road and traffic con-
ditions.
•
Secure the vehicle against rolling away.
•
Switch off the engine.
[Emergency Brakeinoperative]: TheFEB system
is temporarily inoperative due to amalfunction.
The adaptive brakeassist function may also
have failed.
Visit an INFINITI centre or qualifiedworkshop.
[Radar sensors dirty See Owner’s Manual]: The
FEB system is temporarily restricted or inopera-
tive. Possiblecauses:
•
Thesensor behind the INFINITI logoisdirty.
•
Thefunction of the FEB system is impaired due to
heavy rain or snow.
Awarning tone also sounds.
Once the causes listed above no longer apply,
the display message goes out. The FEB system
is operative again.
If thedisplay message does not disappear:
•
Pull over and stop the vehicle safely as soon as
possible, paying attention to road and traffic con-
ditions.
•
Secure the vehicle against rolling away.
•
Switch off the engine.
•
Cleanthe areaaround the sensors.
•
Restartthe engine. The display message disap-
pears.

logo at thefront of the vehicle.
To keep the system operating properly,besure
to observe the following:
•
Alwayskeep the sensor areaofthe INFINITI logo
clean.
•
Do not strikeordamagethe areas around the sen-
sor.
•
Do not cover or attachstickers or similar objects on
the front bumpernearthe sensor area. Thiscould
causefailure or malfunction.
