Releasethe electric parking brake
The parking sensor system is deactivated at
speedsabove18 km/h(10MPH). Itis reactivated
at lowerspeeds.
The parkingsensor systemis deactivatedfor the
rear areawhen youestablish an electrical con-
nection between your vehicle and atrailer.
RANGEOFTHE SENSORS
Theparking sensor system does not take into
account obstacles located:
•
Below the detection range, e.g. persons, animals
or objects.
•
Abovethe detectionrange, e.g. overhanging loads,
tail sectionsorloading rampsofgoods vehicles.
Thesensors must be free of dirt, iceand slush.
Otherwise, they maynot function correctly.
Cleanthe sensors regularly,taking care not to
scratch or damagethem.

lowerside of the instrument panel allows the
driver to turn the parking sensor system on and
off.Toturn the parking sensor system on and
off,the ignition switch must be in the ON posi-
tion. The indicator light

1onthe switch will
illuminate when the system is turned off.
Theparkingsensorsystem willturnonautomati-
callywhen the ignition switch is turned from the
OFFposition to the ON position.
