Problem Possiblecauses/consequences and solutions
The yellow
m warning light is lit. The red m indicator light flashes forabout ten seconds after the electric parking brakehas been applied or
released. It then goes out or remainslit.
The electric parking brakeismalfunctioning.
To apply:
1.
Switch the ignition off and turn it backon.
2. Applythe electric parking brakemanually.
If it is not possibletoapply the electric parking brake:
3. Vehicles with manual transmission: engage first gear
4. Vehicles with automatic transmission: press theP(Park) button.
Consult an INFINITI Centre or qualified workshop.
If it is not possibletoreleasethe electric parking brake:
1.
Vehicles with manual transmission (automatic emergency release): insertthe seat belt in the belt buckleand acceler-
ate slightly more when pulling away.
2. Vehicles with automatic transmission: releasethe electric parking brakeautomatically (see
“Releasing automatically” in
the “3.Pre-driving checks and adjustments” section
).
If the electric parking: brakestillcannot be released, consult an INFINITI Centre or qualified workshop.

Visit an INFINITI Centre or qualified workshop.
If youdonot wishthe electric parking braketobeapplied, leave theignition switched on, e. g. when washing the vehicle in an automatic car
washorwhen having the vehicle towed.
