Overview

This document describes the INFORCE WML Series, including the WML White, WML White/IR, WMLx White, and WMLx White/IR models, which are weapon-mounted lights (WMLs) designed for use with destructive weapon systems. The manual provides detailed instructions on operation, mounting, battery replacement, and maintenance, emphasizing safety precautions throughout.

Functions

The INFORCE WML and WMLx lights offer various operational modes for both white light and infrared (IR) light, depending on the model.

WML White & WMLx White Light Operation

  • Constant: To activate constant white light, position the LED lever forward in Position (A) and press the button once. To turn the light off, press the button again or move the lever from Position (A) to Position (B).
  • Momentary: For momentary white light, press and hold the button for more than 0.5 seconds. The light will remain on as long as the button is held and will turn off upon release.
  • Strobe: To activate the strobe function, position the LED lever forward in Position (A) and quickly press the button twice. To turn the strobe off, press the button again or move the lever from Position (A) to Position (B).

WML White/IR & WMLx White/IR Light Operation

These models include infrared (IR) light capabilities in addition to white light.

  • Constant (IR): To activate constant IR light, position the LED lever backward in Position (B) and press the button once. To turn the IR light off, press the button again or move the lever from Position (B) to Position (A).
  • Momentary (IR): For momentary IR light, position the LED lever backward in Position (B) and press and hold the button. The IR light will remain on as long as the button is held and will turn off upon release. A white indicator is visible when IR light is active.

Disabling Strobe

The strobe function can be disabled for situations where it is not desired.

  1. Unscrew the head 1/4 rotation to reach the lockout position.
  2. Press and hold the button.
  3. While holding the button, tighten the head clockwise back into place. Once tightened, the button will be released, and the strobe will be disabled. To re-enable the strobe, repeat these steps.

Operation

Mounting WML & WMLx to Rail

The WML and WMLx units are designed for easy and secure mounting to a weapon rail without the need for tools.

  1. Turn the clamp screw counterclockwise until it is completely loosened.
  2. Push the clamp toward the body of the light and place it onto the rail. Release pressure off the clamp once it is on the rail.
  3. Finger tighten the screw clockwise until the unit is securely fastened to the rail. Do not use tools for tightening. To dismount the light, turn the clamp screw counterclockwise until it is completely loosened, then push the clamp toward the body and lift the light off the rail.

Lockout Systems

Two lockout methods are provided to prevent accidental discharge of the light, enhancing safety during transport or storage.

  1. Safety Lever: A safety lever protects the activation button. Lift the lever up 90 degrees to cover the button, preventing accidental presses.
  2. Head Unscrew: Unscrewing the head 1/4 rotation also locks out the light, preventing accidental activation.

Battery Replacement

The WML and WMLx units are powered by lithium batteries, and proper replacement procedures are crucial.

  1. Unscrew the head to remove it from the body of the light.
  2. Insert the battery (one for WML units, two for WMLx units) into the body. Ensure the positive (+) side of the battery is inserted first, as indicated in the figure.
  3. Screw the head back onto the body.

WARNING: Lithium batteries can explode or cause burns if improperly handled (recharged, shorted, disassembled, exposed to water, or high temperatures). Always follow the battery manufacturer's guidelines for safe storage, use, and disposal. If the light has been submerged, ensure the exterior is dry before replacing batteries, as fresh and salt water can damage internal electronics. It is critical to use established brands like Duracell, Energizer, or Panasonic, as counterfeit or inferior quality batteries may not meet safety and performance standards, potentially causing personal injury or property damage.

Maintenance

The WML requires minimal maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Cleaning Instructions

  1. Clean the threads (1) of the head and body using an alcohol swab.
  2. Clean the contact surfaces (2) of the head and body with an alcohol swab.
  3. Apply a thin coat of silicon-based lubricant to the rubber o-ring (3) of the head. Do not use a petroleum-based lubricant. If the light becomes dirty from dust, sand, or other debris, fully tighten the head, rinse with water, and dry with a soft cloth.

Firearm & WML / WMLx Safety Warning

The INFORCE WML / WMLx is designed for use with destructive weapon systems. Improper operation or misuse can lead to personal injury or death. Safe firearms handling procedures must always be practiced. Before handling a weapon with the INFORCE WML / WMLx attached, read and understand the entire contents of both the weapon's manual and the INFORCE WML / WMLx instructions, paying special attention to safety precautions. Failure to comply with correct safety procedures can result in serious injury, property damage, or death.

  • Never point the firearm at anything or anyone you do not intend to shoot.
  • Always keep your finger outside the trigger guard and off the trigger until you are ready to fire the weapon.
  • Always verify that the weapon's chamber is empty or "clear" before attempting to mount or dismount the INFORCE WML.

Follow the cleaning procedures outlined in your firearm's manual. Always remove the INFORCE WML / WMLx from the firearm when performing maintenance, cleaning, or replacing the battery. Do not operate the INFORCE WML / WMLx around flammable/combustible materials or in flammable atmospheres involving evaporated gasolines, paints, solvents, or other flammable liquids.
