Why does my InfraScan Accessories light remain permanently on?

  Your InfraScan Accessories light might remain on because the manual override switch is set to Manual. Reset it according to the Commissioning Instructions. Alternatively, a moving infrared source might be detected. Avoid mounting the device near objects that change temperature rapidly, such as air conditioner vents or heater flues. Remove the infrared source. If you can't resolve the issue, blank off the viewing window. The light should turn off after the Time-Out period. If the light still remains on, call your installer.

  If your InfraScan Accessories light turns on for no apparent reason, it could be due to several factors. It might be a momentary power failure; the unit will reset after the Time-Out period. An unseen target, such as animals like dogs or cats, could be triggering it. Extreme drafts of hot and cold air from doors, windows, or air conditioning outlets can also cause this. Trees or bushes moving in the wind, or vehicular or pedestrian traffic on the edge of the field of view might be the reason. Try re-aiming the sensor head.
