This document describes the INKPOT-I06 2.4G Remote Control Drone, designed for users aged 14 and above. It serves as a comprehensive guide for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Function Description
The INKPOT-I06 is a remote-controlled drone primarily designed for indoor flight, though it can be flown outdoors in windless conditions. It features a 2.4G remote control system and offers three levels of operation, catering to different skill levels:
- Level 1 (Newbie): Focuses on basic operations, with the remote controller beeping once upon pairing.
- Level 2 (Competent): Unlocks additional stunt functions, indicated by two beeps from the remote controller upon activation. This level includes "Self Rotation."
- Level 3 (Senior): Provides access to all available functions, with the remote controller beeping three times upon activation. This level includes "Speed Switch," "360° Flip & Roll," and "Headless Mode."
Key operational functions include:
- Start Up and Pairing: A straightforward process involving powering on the drone and remote controller, followed by joystick manipulation for pairing.
- One Key Start/Landing: Simplifies takeoff and landing procedures.
- Basic Control: Allows for movement in all directions (up/down, forward/backward, left/right spin, leftside/rightside fly).
- Altitude Hold: Enables the drone to hover at a current altitude without continuous joystick input.
- Fine-tuning Mode: Allows for precise adjustments to correct any drifting during hovering.
- Re-calibration: A procedure to re-stabilize the drone if it slides severely during takeoff or flight.
- Low Power Warning: Alerts the user when the battery is running low, prompting them to land the drone.
- Emergency Stop: A safety feature to immediately shut down the motors in case of an emergency.
- Self Rotation: A stunt function available in Level 2, allowing the drone to rotate in place.
- Speed Switch: Available in Level 3, this function allows users to toggle between low, middle, and high speeds.
- 360° Flip & Roll: A stunt function available in Level 3, enabling the drone to perform flips and rolls in various directions. This function is not available when the battery is low.
- Headless Mode: Available in Level 3, this mode simplifies control by orienting the drone's movement relative to the remote controller, regardless of the drone's actual front direction.
Important Technical Specifications
- Battery: 3.7V 300mAh (two included).
- Charging Time: Approximately 80 minutes for a full charge.
- Charger Output: Requires a 5V/0.5~2.0A adapter. Using chargers with output over 5V is explicitly warned against, as it can damage the charger and battery.
- Remote Controller Batteries: Requires 3 x 1.5V AAA batteries (not included).
- Control Range: The drone should be kept within 20 meters for optimal control.
Usage Features
- Optimal Flight Environment: The drone is best suited for indoor use in spacious areas free from barriers, crowds, or pets. Outdoor flight is recommended only in windless conditions. Users must avoid flying in extreme environments (hot, cold, strong wind, heavy rain) and keep the drone away from high-tension cables, trees, and people.
- Pre-flight Check: Always place the drone on a flat surface before taking off. Never take off from a rugged surface.
- Battery Installation: Clear instructions are provided for installing AAA batteries in the remote controller, emphasizing correct polarity and avoiding mixing old/new or different types of batteries. The drone battery slides into a dedicated slot.
- Charging Process: The USB charger's LED indicates charging status (red for charging, off when connected, red again when complete).
- Operation Levels: The three distinct operation levels allow users to gradually increase their skill and access more advanced features.
- Fine-tuning: The drone includes a fine-tuning mode to correct any unwanted sliding during flight, ensuring stable hovering.
- Headless Mode Calibration: For Headless Mode, the drone must be placed in front of the remote controller, facing forward, and calibrated horizontally before takeoff.
- Flip Trick Safety: Before performing a 360° Flip & Roll, ensure there is at least 1.5 meters of clear space around the drone.
Maintenance Features
- Battery Care:
- Use only the original factory charger.
- Do not charge swollen or worn-out batteries.
- Avoid overcharging; unplug the charger once the battery is full.
- Charge batteries in a safe environment, away from flammable materials (carpet, timber floor, wood furniture) and electro-conductive surfaces. Monitor the battery during charging.
- Allow hot batteries to cool down before charging.
- Maintain a charging temperature between 0°C and 40°C.
- Troubleshooting Guide: The manual includes a dedicated section to address common issues:
- Drone slides in flight: Suggests re-calibration, fine-tuning, and checking for wind.
- Drone and remote controller do not pair: Recommends placing the drone on a horizontal surface and checking battery levels.
- Propellers spin but do not take off: Advises rechecking propeller installation.
- Drone's reaction delays or out of control: Points to low battery or being out of controllable range (within 20 meters).
- After-sales Support: An email address (inkpot-us@outlook.com) is provided for customer inquiries and technical support.
- Recycling: Emphasizes proper disposal of electronic components and batteries according to local garbage disposal methods.
- Safety Warnings: Users are warned about the risks associated with improper battery use, including body injury and property loss. Instructions are given for handling battery leakage and recognizing signs of malfunction (peculiar smell, noise, smog).
