Overview

This document describes the INOKSAN BYM042B/BT Glass Washing Machine, a professional appliance designed for commercial kitchens and catering establishments.

Function Description

The INOKSAN BYM042B/BT is a glass washing machine specifically designed for washing trays, plates, glasses, cups, knives, and forks in specially designed baskets. It is suitable for medium-scale businesses and cafeteria-type facilities that provide mass catering services. The machine operates with a focus on efficiency, hygiene, and user safety, incorporating features for optimal washing results and ease of maintenance. It utilizes two types of chemical products: industrial-grade, foam-free detergent for washing and a polisher for rinsing, with dosage recommendations provided by the manufacturers based on water hardness.

Important Technical Specifications

The BYM042B/BT model has compact dimensions, with a width of 460 mm, a depth of 560 mm, and a height of 730 mm, making it suitable for various kitchen layouts. It boasts a rack capacity of 40 pieces per hour and a glass capacity of 600-800 pieces per hour. The machine offers three washing programs: a short cycle (80 seconds) for lightly soiled dishes, a medium cycle (110 seconds) for dirty dishes, and a long cycle (140 seconds) for oily and very dirty dishes. The recommended washing temperature is 55°C, while the rinse water temperature is 85°C.

Key capacities include a 13-liter tank and a 2.7-liter boiler. The water inlet is 3/4" inch, requiring a water supply pressure of 2-4 bar and a temperature of 50-55°C (max). Rinse water consumption is efficient at 3 liters per cycle. Power specifications include a 0.25 kW washing pump motor, a 1.2 kW tank heating capacity, and a 2.6 kW boiler heating capacity, resulting in a maximum power consumption of 4.15 kW. The electrical connection is 230V AC, 1P+N+PE 50Hz, with a recommended 3x2.5 mm² cable cross-section and a maximum 25A fuse. The drainage time is 120 seconds, and the net weight of the machine is 39 kg. The BYM042 model is capable of washing glasses up to 290 mm in height.

Usage Features

The machine is designed for straightforward operation. After plugging in and pressing the "ON/OFF" button, users wait for the "READY" indicator light to illuminate, signifying that the machine has reached the optimal washing temperature (55°C). Starting a wash cycle before the "READY" light is on may result in detergent foaming due to cold water. Users can select one of the three washing programs based on the soil level of the dishes.

For optimal results, it is recommended to pre-wash dishes to remove food residues, which can otherwise clog the drain pump and impair washing quality. The machine should always be operated with full baskets to save detergent and energy. Users are advised to select the appropriate basket type for the dishes being washed and load them according to the specified capacities. The machine should not be moved while operating, and the water input valve must be open before starting.

The machine also features a draining function. To drain, the lid is opened, the stopper is removed, the "ON/OFF" button is turned off, and the "DRAIN" button is pressed once. The "DRAIN" light illuminates during the process and turns off when complete. An automatic draining system activates if the water level exceeds the overflow limit, controlled by a top-level pressurestat in the full model.

Safety warnings include never putting bare hands into the wash water (use protective gloves if necessary) and avoiding contact of detergent water with eyes.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the machine's longevity and performance.

Daily Maintenance:

  • The wash water should be renewed at least twice a day, or more frequently if it becomes dirty with particles, as dirty water leads to poor washing results and wastes detergent, polisher, and power.
  • Before any maintenance, turn off the main power switch.
  • Ensure food residues do not block the dirty water outlet.
  • Check that the washing and rinsing arms rotate freely and that the water sprays are not blocked. Clean clogged holes with a thin stick.
  • After cleaning, leave the cover open.
  • Avoid cleaning the machine with direct or high-pressure water to prevent damage to electrical components.

Periodic Maintenance (every 2-3 days):

  • Never perform maintenance while the device is powered.
  • Remove and clean the nozzles of the water sprays to clear any blocking materials (as shown in Figure 1).
  • Clean the outer surfaces with a wet, soapy cloth. Avoid abrasive detergents, wire brushes, or other materials that could scratch the surface.
  • Clean the device warmers with an anti-lime agent once a week.
  • Periodically remove and clean the pump's front filter.
  • If the machine is to be stored for a long time, cover the surfaces with a thin layer of Vaseline.
  • Calcium and magnesium in the water can cause boiler scale to form on internal surfaces, affecting performance. Therefore, a qualified technician should periodically perform boiler scale cleaning.
  • Boiler and pump maintenance, including emptying water, should be performed by qualified personnel periodically.
  • If there is a risk of freezing during prolonged non-use, the wash pump and boiler must be emptied.
  • In case of any dangerous situation, contact authorized service immediately and do not allow unqualified personnel to interfere with the device.

Child Safety:

  • The device is dangerous and forbidden for use by children under 8 years old, or by individuals with physical, sensory, or mental disabilities, or lack of experience/knowledge, without user supervision.
  • Children playing with the device is dangerous.
  • Cleaning and maintenance should not be carried out by children without user supervision.

The manual also includes a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as unclean dishes, broken dishes, water intake problems, continuous water intake, and rusting, providing potential causes and solutions.
