Mask dashboard and panels as a precautionary measure to prevent scratches.
Unsnap 6 clips and remove the knee panel under the steering wheel.
Unsnap 10 clips, unplug harnesses, and remove the HVAC panel using a tool.
Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to extract screws from the bottom of the radio bezel.
Unsnap 6 clips and remove the radio bezel using a panel removal tool.
Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to extract 4 screws and disconnect the head unit.
Disconnect power, SiriusXM, camera, and AUX connectors from the rear of the OEM head unit.
Note that disconnected harnesses will be used later for main harness connection.
Connect main harness, AM/FM antenna, USB/AV harnesses, and camera module box.
Connect Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS antennas at the radio cavity and ensure security.
For Alpine Premium Sound System, swap speaker quick connect wires: F2 to R1 and R2 to F1.
Route all USB wires to the glove box for proper management.
Place adhesive GPS antenna behind dashboard on top of vent on driver's side.
Place external mic away from windows/vents/speakers to avoid noise or feedback.
JL4001 auto-displays backup camera in reverse; see Step 7 for details.
Connect cameras to RockCam RCA pigtail; use Power/GND wires for camera power.
For manual Jeeps, splice reverse lights to orange reverse trigger wire if needed.
