CD-RW discs—You can over-write data on CD-RW discs hundreds of times.
Use CD-RW discs for storing data that you may want to change or erase
such as spreadsheet files.
NOTE: CD-RW discs cannot be read on most audio CD players and some
CD-ROM drives and are not recommended for recording music.
Format
Purchase preformatted discs or use HotBurn
®
software to format discs in
order to use the drag-and-drop function or delete single files from CD-RW
discs. When you insert an unformatted CD-RW disc, HotBurn will prompt
you to to format the disc.
To place files on to a formatted CD-RW disc, do not open HotBurn,
simply drag files to the disc.
To remove individual files from your formatted CD-RW disc, right-click
the file and select
Delete.
NOTE: It takes about 30 minutes to format a CD-RW disc, depending upon
your drive speed. Formatting a CD-RW disc will reduce the volume by
about 100 MB.
Erase
Use the Erase option in HotBurn only if you want to remove everything from
the disc, including the format.
