Why is my IONA Oven smoking?

If your IONA Oven is emitting smoke, especially during its first use, this is typically normal. The oven is burning off the protective coating on its heating elements. This smoke should dissipate within 10 to 15 minutes. For subsequent uses, ensure that food oil or grease isn't dripping onto the heating element; using a bake tray when cooking oily foods can help prevent this.
