Overview

This document describes the ISEKI PE1500 Electric Sprayer, a device designed for applying phytosanitary products in gardening and small agricultural operations.

Function Description

The ISEKI PE1500 is an electric sprayer specifically engineered for the application of fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides. It is suitable for both gardening and small farm use. The sprayer operates with a multi-speed pressure system, allowing users to select different pressure levels depending on the treatment required (herbicides, insecticides) and the nozzle used. It is explicitly stated that the sprayer should not be used for flammable or industrial products such as solvents, alkalis, or acids. The device features a standby mode for quick re-use and requires disconnection after use.

Important Technical Specifications

The ISEKI PE1500 is powered by an 18V LI-ION battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh. Key technical specifications include:

  • Battery Type: LI-ION
  • Battery Voltage: 18V
  • Battery Capacity: 2600 mAh
  • Autonomy (with 2 batteries): 4-7 hours
  • Max. Pressure: 4 bar (58 psi)
  • Spraying Distance: 9 meters (30 ft)
  • Battery Charging Time: 4-5 hours
  • Tank Capacity: 15 liters (4 gal)
  • Charger: 21V / 1 Ah
  • Pump Life: 1000 hours
  • Operating Temperature Range: 1°C to 50°C

The sprayer comes with various nozzles, including:

  • Adjustable Red Nozzle:
    • Speed 1 (2.1 bar, 0.7 L/min): 173 liters per battery charge, 370 min autonomy.
    • Speed 2 (3.1 bar, 0.9 L/min): 144 liters per battery charge, 240 min autonomy.
    • Speed 3 (4.2 bar, 1.1 L/min): 136 liters per battery charge, 185 min autonomy.
  • G.A. Herbicide Nozzle:
    • Speed 1 (2.5 bar, 0.7 L/min): 182 liters per battery charge, 370 min autonomy, 60 L/ha dose (at 40 cm nozzle height, 114 cm working width, 1 m/s forward speed).
  • 4 Outlets Nozzle:
    • Speed 1 (1.2 bar, 1.0 L/min): 286 liters per battery charge, 430 min autonomy.
    • Speed 2 (2.1 bar, 1.3 L/min): 200 liters per battery charge, 235 min autonomy.
    • Speed 3 (3.1 bar, 1.5 L/min): 198 liters per battery charge, 200 min autonomy. (Autonomy values are estimated at 20°C, considering 2 minutes working and 1 minute stopped.)

Usage Features

The sprayer is designed for ease of use with a multi-speed system controlled by a single button.

  • Start-up and Speed Selection: Pressing the 3S button with the left hand turns on a green light, initiating speed 1 (low pressure) for herbicide treatments. A second press changes the light to orange, activating speed 2 (medium pressure) for herbicide and insecticide treatments. A third press turns the light red, engaging speed 3 (high pressure) for insecticide treatments. A fourth press turns off the light and stops the sprayer, placing it in standby mode.
  • Battery Indicator: The battery features LED indicators to show the charge level:
    • LED 1: Less than 20%
    • LED 2: 21% - 40%
    • LED 3: 41% - 60%
    • LED 4: 61% - 80%
    • LED 5: 81% - 100% When fully charged, the LEDs stop flashing and remain on.
  • Safety Rules:
    • Always use appropriate protective equipment (gloves, mask, protective clothing, glasses) to avoid contact with sprayed products.
    • Read product labels carefully, use proper preparation and mixing tools, and wash hands/face after preparation. Do not eat, drink, or smoke during handling.
    • Dispose of empty or leftover containers properly.
    • Do not spray on people, animals, or electrical installations. Avoid drift to nearby fields, crops, water sources, rivers, and ponds. Do not use against the wind.
    • Do not use flammable or combustion-promoting materials.
    • Do not use liquids with temperatures above 40°C.
    • Always disconnect the sprayer when finishing work.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of the ISEKI PE1500.

  • Tank and Pipes: Clean the sprayer and its pipes with clean water after each use. Completely empty the tank by unscrewing the drain plug at the bottom front of the machine. Never store phytosanitary products in the tank, pipes, or pump.
  • Filters: The sprayer includes several filters that require regular cleaning and replacement if damaged:
    • Tank filling filter (Ref. 1447PE).
    • Suction filter (Ref. 14062PE) – located on the side of the tank, removable for cleaning.
    • Handle filter (Ref. 1453PE) – located inside the handle.
    • Herbicide nozzle filter – next to the spraying nozzle. Clean these filters periodically (every workday).
  • Nozzles: Replace nozzles if they show signs of excessive wear or deterioration, as this can reduce performance.
  • Battery Recharge and Maintenance:
    • Finish charging the battery before first use (it may have lost some charge during storage). The battery must be disconnected from the sprayer for charging.
    • Connect the charger (Ref. 13980PE) to the mains (100/240vAC) and then to the battery (Ref. 13943PE). The green LED on the battery will blink during charging.
    • Approximate charging time is 4-5 hours.
    • Recommendation: Recharge the battery after each long day of use.
    • Do not recharge the battery at extreme temperatures (charging range: 0°C to 40°C). Allow the battery to cool down before charging.
    • For long periods of inactivity, remove the battery from the sprayer and store it at half charge in a dry, stable temperature environment (ideal: 5°C to 15°C). Monitor the charge state every six months and recharge if necessary.
    • Use only original spare parts for battery replacement and the charger supplied with the equipment.
    • Safety Precautions for Battery and Charger:
      • Charge indoors, in a dry place, and out of reach of children.
      • Do not use the charger in explosive environments.
      • Do not leave the sprayer outdoors or in places with sub-zero temperatures.
      • Do not open the battery or expose it to heat sources.
      • Dispose of wasted batteries at an authorized collection point.
  • Motor and Pump: The motor, pump, and pressure switch are wear-sensitive components integrated into a single module, requiring preventive maintenance.
    • After each use, run the sprayer with clean water in an open circuit for a few minutes to maintain the pump head.
    • Never leave phytosanitary products in the pump for more than 8 hours, as they can cause clogging or malfunction. Organic solvents can damage internal components.
    • Do not use corrosive acids. If accidental contact occurs, immediately clean the tank and circuit with clean water in an open circuit.
    • Do not immerse the sprayer in any liquid and protect it from moisture. The DC brushed motor's wear and lifespan depend on usage, ambient temperature, and average operating pressure.

Warranty

The product comes with a 3-year manufacturing warranty (excluding the battery, which has a 1-year warranty) from the date of purchase. Specific warranty conditions may apply in different countries. The warranty does not cover:

  • Failure to read the instruction manual.
  • Wear from conventional use (including batteries).
  • Use of unauthorized work tools.
  • Use of force, improper handling, or accident.
  • Use of non-original or unsuitable spare parts.
  • Use of unauthorized products.
  • Omission of necessary maintenance work. Warranty claims must be processed through an authorized dealer, accompanied by the purchase invoice/receipt and the product's serial number. Warranty services do not extend the warranty period. The serial number can be found on the box, on the battery, or in the battery compartment/holder.
