Tensioncontrolsystem(TCS)

Fordrivingonaslipperyground,the
tensioncontrolsystem(TCS)canlim
ittheslipperyoftiresandtoenable
steadystartofthevehicle.Thissys
temmayincreasetheweightofthe
vehicleandpermitsafeturningat
highspeed.
Reducingaccident
Whenthevehicleisstartedona
slippery ground or turn at high
speed,thissystemcanlimitthehigh
speedrotationofwheelsandavoid
lossofbalancewithwheels.
Suggestions
TCScannotincreasethebrakeper
formance.Pleasereducethespeed
beforemakingturns.
TCSmode
The indicators on the instrument
panelwillstopdisplayinginTCS
mode.
Caution
TheTCScancontrolsliding
whentheTCSindicatorisflashing.
Whentheroadisslipperyorthe
vehicleisrunningathighspeed,
releasetheacceleratorpedaland
keepthevehiclesteady.
Warning
TheTCSsystemisacompo
nent of the vehicle; and all
guardingdevicesshouldbeput
intoserviceinwinteroronslip
peryroads.
Note
1)TheTCSmodewillbeau
tomaticallystartedwhentheen
gineisstartedagainafterbeing
stopped.
2)Youmayfeelslightjitteringof
thevehicleafterappropriatead
justmentofthetensioncontrol
device.Thisisonlytheeffectof
controlof brake and not an
anomaly.
3)Whentheengineisstarted,
youcanhearaclicknoisefrom
theenginecompartment,and
thisisonlythesoundfromthe
tensioncontroldevice.
4)Theacceleratingdevicemay
notfunctionwhenthevehicleis
running on muddy or snowy
ground.

Indicatorandwarninglight
Theindicatorswillflashwhentheig
nitionkeyisturnedonorthevehicle
isstarted.Ifitdoesnotflash,haveit
checkedbytheauthorizeddealer.
Thewarninglightwillindicateawarn
ingincaseofanomalywiththeTCS
device.
WhentheTCSindicatorworks,park
thevehicleatasafeplace.Startthe
engineagaintocheckiftheTCSin
dicatorcontinuestowork.
Iftheindicatorstillworksaftertheen
gineisstarted,haveitcheckedby
theauthorizedJACdealer.
Safedrivingofallwheeldrive
vehicles
(1)Fastenthesafetybelt.
(2)Neverattempttomakeatrywhen
thevehicledesignanddriverskillis
notsuitableforrunningoncross-
countryground.
(3)Reducethespeedinstrongwind,
asyourvehicleislikelytobeaffect
edby strong wind. Reducing the
speedcanavoidlossofcontrol.
(4)Checkthebrakesystemafter
drivinginrainydaysoronaroad
withslurry.Driveslowlyandstepon
thebrakepedalinseveraltimesuntil
itworksnormally.
(5)Neverdriveonroadwithmuch
water(forexamplebrooks,riversand
lakes).
(6)Thebrakingdistancebetweenan
allwheeldrivevehicleandafour-
wheeldrivevehicleisslightlydiffer
ent,thereforeproperspacebetween
vehiclesshouldbekeptwhendriving
onaroadextremelydifficulttodrive.
(7)Thedrivingtorqueiscontrolled
byfourwheels,thereforethetire
qualitycandirectlyaffectthedriving
conditionoftheallwheeldrivevehi
cle.Determinethequalityandsizeof
alltires.
Alltiresshouldbereplacedatthe
sametime.
Turnthetiresandchecktheair
pressureoftiresundernormalcondi
tions.
(8)Thetirechainsshouldbefittedon
thefronttires.
Note
WhentheTCSisflashing,the
tensioncontrolsystemwillauto
maticallyreducethedrivingforce.
