tionersetattheminimumtempera鄄

instrumentpanelopening,havethe
airconditioningsystemcheckedby
theJACdealer.
Lubrication
Itisnecessarytolubricatetheair
conditioningpumpandthesealing
portfromtimetotime,soruntheair
conditionerforatleast10min.every
week, especially in the seasons
whenairconditionerisnotused,as
thisisabsolutelynecessary.
Inspectsteeringwheel
Freetravelofsteeringwheel
Toinspectthefreetravelofsteering
wheel,parkthevehiclewithfour
wheelsstraighttothefront,andlight鄄
lyturnthesteeringwheeltotherear
andoutward.Holdthesteeringwheel
withhandslightlyandoperatethe
steeringwheelflexiblyaccordingto
theresistancemarkedonthefree
travelrange.Ifthefreetravelhasex鄄
ceededthenormalrange,haveit
checkedbytheJACdealer,andad鄄
justorrepairthesteeringwheelwhen
necessary.
Inspectclutchpedal
Freetravel
Turnofftheengineandsteponthe
clutchpedaluntilachangeofresis鄄
tanceisfelt.Thisisthefreetravelof
theclutchpedal.Thefreetravelmust

Inspectbrakingpedal
Gap
Youneedanassistanttoinspectthe
gapofthebrakingpedal.Askyour
assistanttosteponthebrakingped鄄
alseveraltimesinsuccession,and
keepthepedalpressedwithaforce
of490N.Thegapofbrakingpedalis
thedistancebetweenthebraking
pedalsurfaceandtheacousticplate
belowthefloormat.Ifthisgapisnot
withinthespecifiedrange,haveit
checkedbytheJACdealer,and
makeadjustmentorrepairwhennec鄄
essary.
Inspectdrivingbelt
Thetensionofthedrivingbeltshould
be inspected periodically, and
shouldbeadjustedwhennecessary.
Inthemeantime,checkthebeltfor
anytraceofbreaking,wearingor
ageing,andreplaceitwhenneces鄄
sary.Checktheroutingofthebelt
anddeterminethatnoenginepart
willobscurethemovementofthe
belt.Afterthebeltisreplaced,the
newbeltshouldbere-adjustedafter
twoorthreeweeks,toeliminateany
relaxingoccurringaftertheuse.
Inspectandreplacefuse
Replacefuse
Thefusewillbeblownwhenthesys鄄
temcurrentexceeds the specified
range.Therefore,itisnecessaryto
preventdamagetowires.(Thecause
isnormallysystemshort-circuitingor
excessivehighload).Ifthisisnotthe
cause,asktheJACdealertodeter鄄
minethecause.
