Turn off machine power at switch/breaker and secure water supply before starting retrofit.
Completely drain the unit, remove the heater box cover, and disconnect float switch wires.
Install the new float switch assembly with sealant, secure it, and connect the wiring.
Allow sealant to dry, restore water/power, check for leaks, and run a test cycle.
Perform a float switch test; address issues like wiring or faulty components.
Secure power, replace covers, clean the area, and return the machine to operational condition.
