Pre-setting: synchronising the reference time
with the mechanism of the multiple time zones
Reading the universal time and the favoured
time zone requires pre-setting that consists of
determining a reference time for the mechanism.
This step needs to be carried out only once,
as long as the reference time zone remains
unchanged. However, this setting operation will
be necessary once again if, while travelling, you
change time zones and wish to adopt your new
time as reference time.
- 1
st
operation (choosing the reference city by
means of the city disc):
Wind Crown B (at 10 o’clock) without pulling it,
in either direction.
Position the city corresponding to the reference
time zone opposite the triangular marker
located at 6 o’clock.
The hour hand of the small dial will automatically
move, while the minute hand of the small dial
remains synchronised with the large minute
hand.
