The cleaning and maintenance done by users, cannot be done
by children without any supervision, unless they are over 8
years and they are under supervision.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or by its after-sales service or similar qualied
personnel in order to avoid a danger.
INSTRUCTIONS OF USE
Open the lter holder (8) using the lip on the lid.
Add the desired amount of coee in the lter (9).
Do not put too much coee in the lter (9) and never press the coee down. The water may overow.
To obtain a stronger or milder coee, adjust the amount of coee in the lter to taste.
Pour cold water into it according to the number of coee cups you are preparing. The marks of the water
level (7) will give you an estimated quantity.
Close the lid, place the jug on the hot plate (3) and plug the machine into the mains.
It is advisable to slant the jar when placing on the heating plate and when removing it.
Set the switch (2).
The coee will begin to ow in a short time.
While the coee is being made you may remove the jug (4), as the automatic anti-drip system stops it from
dripping. Take care not to remove it for too long as the coee in the lter holder may overow.
If you wish to keep the coee hot, leave the jug (4) on the hot plate (3) and keep the coee machine on (check
below ATTENTION chapter).
ATTENTION
The coee maker will switch o automatically after around 22 minutes from its operation, to comply with
Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before anything, make sure the coee maker is unplugged from the mains.
The jug, the lter and the lter holder may be cleaned with a hot soapy water taking care to rinse them
carefully afterwards.
To remove the lter holder (8) open the lid and remove it.
The hot plate and the body of the coee maker should be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened in water.
Do not use abrasive or chemical products, such as metallic scourers, which may deteriorate the surfaces of
the appliance.
To eliminate the alkaline deposits that with use may be formed in the water circuit, it is convenient to treat
it as follows:
- Pour a 50% solution of water and vinegar in the tank.
- Plug the coee maker without any coee and allow to ow out the half solution.
- Switch o the coee maker and wait for 15 minutes.
- Switch on the coee maker again and leave to ow out all the solution.
- Next, make the coee maker work only with water for a couple of times.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Dispose the appliance according to the local garbage regulations.
Never throw it away to the rubbish. So, you will help to the improvement of the environment.
