This document describes the JEMA Auto Cutting Machine, an advanced device designed for precise and efficient cutting of various materials.
Function Description
The JEMA Auto Cutting Machine is a microcomputer numerical control device that allows for free setting of length, speed, and volume. It is engineered for high precision, fast operation, and smooth cutting surfaces, ensuring ease of use. The machine is suitable for cutting materials such as braided belts, Velcro belt tape, casings, and plastic zippers. Its primary purpose is to enhance productivity, improve product quality, and reduce labor requirements.
Important Technical Specifications
The machine's specifications are as follows:
- Power: 0.14 KW (COLD) / 0.54 KW (HEAT)
- Max. Cutting Width: 95 MM
- Cutting Length: 10-9999 MM
- Cutting Speed: 70-90 pcs/min
- Voltage: 110/220 V
- Frequency: 50/60 Hz
- Temperature: 350°C (LR) / 300-450°C (H)
The machine should operate under normal temperature conditions. If the ambient temperature exceeds 70°C, it may negatively impact the machine's performance.
Usage Features
The operation of the JEMA Auto Cutting Machine is guided by a user-friendly interface with several key functions:
Display Indicators:
- "q" shows the current quantity.
- "L" shows the current length.
- "E" shows the current temperature.
Setting Parameters:
- "1" is used to set the speed.
- "2" is used to set the length.
- "3" is used to set the quantity.
- "4" is used to set compensation.
- "5" is used to set the temperature.
- "6" is used to set the label: input "1" for open, "0" for shut down.
Key Functions:
- HOT SW (Hot Knife): Activates the hot knife function.
- START: Initiates the cutting process.
- POWER SW (Power): Controls the machine's power.
- RESET STOP: Stops the current operation and resets settings.
- CURRENT: Displays current quantity, length, or temperature with successive presses.
- COMP (Compensation): Used to input cut length compensation, for example, if a display input of 50mm results in an actual cut length of 40mm, "COMP" is used to adjust for this difference (e.g., input 40cm length). This feature is crucial for material cutting accuracy.
- FEED (Backward/Frontward): Manually moves the tape backward or frontward to set quantity, length, and speed.
- MANUAL (Test Cut): A long press performs a test cut.
- TEST (Test Cut): A single press performs one test cut.
- ENTER SET: Initiates the setting mode. For example, to set speed, press "ENTER SET," input the desired speed, and then press "SET" again to confirm. This key is also used to set length, quantity, compensation, temperature, and color sensor (0 for OFF, 1 for ON).
- RESET STOP: Stops working, finishes settings. Pressing it twice quickly resets length to "0." Continuous pressing for a few seconds resets both length and quantity to "0." After each parameter setting, press "RESET STOP" to finish.
- START: Begins the work process.
Important Note: The machine cannot be started while in setting mode.
Maintenance Features
Proper maintenance is essential for the longevity and safe operation of the JEMA Auto Cutting Machine.
Cautions:
- Ground Connection: Before operation, ensure the voltage is correct and the machine is properly grounded.
- Safety: Do not place hands or any objects near the working knife.
- Disassembly: Do not remove any parts except for normal maintenance procedures.
- Lubrication: Lubricate the machine every few days of use (do not use sewing oil).
- Knife Sharpening: If the knife blade becomes dull, use a grinding machine to sharpen it. Do not allow unskilled persons to manually grind or install the knife blade.
- Power Disconnection: Always cut off the electricity before making any adjustments for safety.
- Support: Contact the manufacturer for any further information or assistance.
Fault Clearance:
- Temperature Issues: If the temperature does not work, check the connections.
- Unsealed Cuts: Increase the temperature if the cut material is unsealed.
- Pre-operation Wait: Wait until the temperature reaches the set level before starting work and ensure the material is correctly placed.
- Knife Exchange: If screws are difficult to loosen during knife exchange, open the temperature control, adjust the temperature to about 200°C, then loosen the screws and turn off the control. Unscrew completely after the knife has cooled to avoid burns.
Specific Cautions for Velcro:
- Do not cut two Velcro strips simultaneously.
- When cutting Velcro, ensure the rough surface is upward (correct orientation).
Troubleshooting (110 Series - Reference Only):
No Power Supply:
- Check if the electric cord is connected properly.
- Check if the fuse has blown out.
Power On, But No Work:
- Feed Roller Not Working:
- Check for any foreign substances in the roller.
- If "sensor error" or other errors appear on the display, turn off the machine for 10 seconds and then turn it back on.
- If the issue persists, exchange the drive board.
- Knife Not Working:
- Check if the pressure plates of the upper knife are too fastened or not (cool: #20 & #29, hot: #32 & #36).
- LCD Display Not Working:
- If the temperature is too high due to over-time working, switch off the machine for a few seconds. If it still doesn't work after several attempts, open the cover and check the connection (especially between the operation and CPU board).
Material Not Cut (Hot Cutter):
- Check if the temperature reaches the set degree.
- Check if the knife blades are even.
Material Cut One Side:
- Check if blades are damaged or worn.
- After closing both knives using the M/CUT button, check if they are even. If not, adjust them with bolts.
Cut-Length Different from Set-Length:
- Test after loosening material from the reel by hand or attaching a feeding device.
Alarm of No Material (EΓ 01):
- Check if materials are used up and replace them if needed.
- Check if there is material or if the pressing plate drops into the slot.
- If all is confirmed normal, check if the travel switch is stuck and doesn't bounce back.
Cutting Error (EΓ 02):
- Troubles in Cutting Motor or Counting Sensor:
- Turn on the machine and press the "MANUAL" button; check if the knife can be moved or if it's locked.
- Open the button cover of the knife; check if the sensor is loose or wrongly positioned.
- Open the main cover; check if the SW of the cutting sensor is right or not. If not, exchange it.
- Check if the cutting motor is working correctly.
Label Error (EΓ 03):
- Cuts Before/After Cutting Line of Label:
- Move the sensor towards the knife side or counter-knife side as long as the difference by pushing.
- MARK Error:
- Trouble in MARK sensor.
- Check if the sensor is connected and adjusted well.
- Check if the input length corresponds to the label length.
Operator Feels Electric Current:
- Connect the earth cord (green) to any bolt on the backside of the machine.
No Heating:
- Lamp On:
- Check if the heating tube is connected well.
- Change to a new heating tube.
- Lamp Off:
- Check if the heating sensor is connected well.
- Change to a new heating sensor.
