What to do if my Jet JBG-6A motor won't start and the fuse keeps blowing?
    • D
      David HessJul 30, 2025
If the Jet Grinder motor won't start and the fuse or circuit breaker opens, several factors could be at play. First, too many electrical machines might be running on the same outlet; try turning off other machines. Second, the fuse might be incorrect, so try a time delay fuse or switch to a circuit with a higher-rated fuse or circuit breaker. Third, an obstruction might prevent the wheels from rotating; unplug the grinder and turn the grinding wheel by hand. Fourth, an undersized extension cord could be the issue; ensure you're using the correct size. Finally, a short circuit in the cord, plug, or motor might be the cause.

How to troubleshoot a Jet JBG-6A Grinder when the motor will not start?
    • L
      Lisa FrancisAug 5, 2025
If the Jet Grinder motor won't start, make sure it's properly plugged into the power source receptacle. Also, check that the switch is in the ON position. A cut or abraded motor cord or a faulty plug can also prevent the motor from starting; in these cases, replace the cord or plug. Check if a fuse or circuit breaker is open and reset it, noting that there might be too many machines on the line.

      Dennis SantosAug 11, 2025
If the Jet Grinder motor overheats, it could be due to an overload. Try reducing the load on the motor by not pressing so hard. Poor ventilation can also cause overheating; unplug the grinder and clean around the motor to improve air circulation.

      Debbie WalterAug 23, 2025
Frequent fuse or circuit breaker failure in your Jet Grinder can stem from a few causes. A motor overload could be the culprit, so try reducing the load on the motor. Also, an overload of the electrical circuit, caused by too many appliances on the same circuit, might be the issue.
