3. Lay the Advance flat on the floor (ensure rear casters are securely locked).
4. Lift the mast assembly upright (using the top of the push handle), and drop the mast into the slot (1),
tighten mast lock knobs (2), release braked casters (3).
SAFETY NOTE: Avoid trapping fingers. Keep fingers away from the end of the mast when inserting
into the mast slot. Ensure the mast is fully engaged before tightening the mast locking device.
5. Open legs fully. ENSURE leg-locking knob engages flush against the base casting and the legs
will no longer move freely. The legs will then only operate by the use of the foot pedal mechanism
located at the rear of the base.
WARNING
If operation of the foot pedal DOES NOT adjust the legs, DO NOT use the lift.
Check the leg locking knob is fully engaged.
If the leg locking knob will not fully engage and operating the foot pedal does not adjust the
legs, DO NOT use the lift and contact your authorised Joerns Healthcare service provider for
examination and repair.
