Use Seal Installer,
PIN
342663, to install a new
seal
in
the rear of the bearing housing. Apply OPL
Penetrating Lubricant to the casing of the seal
before installing. Install the seal with the exposed
lip facing away
from
the bearing housing. Press
the seal into the housing until the tool seats. Apply
Triple-Guard grease to seal lips after installing.

ing a-ring.
Place a-ring
in
groove.

Install new seals back to back
in
aft end of the
propeller shaft bearing housing using Seal
Installer,
PIN
335821. Apply Gasket Sealing Com-
pound
to the metal casing of the seals before
installing. Install the inner seal with lip facing into
the bearing housing
and
install the outer seal with
lip facing away from the bearing housing. Apply
Triple-Guard grease to seal lips after installing.

Apply Triple-Guard grease to a new bearing hous-
ing a-ring.
Place the a-ring
in
the bearing housing
groove.
