• Check if the main voltage is in line with the voltage specified on the appli-
ance.
• Electrical appliances should be kept away from children. Children should
not be allowed to use or play with the appliance or the product’s packaging.
• Arrange the power chord in a way that it will not cause an
obstruction or can be tripped over.
• Protect the power cord from damage. Never pull on the power cord. Hold
the power plug when removing it from the power socket.
• Clean the product with a slightly dampened cloth (not wet). Always discon-
nect the product from the power supply before cleaning and ensure the unit
has cooled down.
• To prevent possible overheating, never place towels or similar such items
over or under the appliance.
• Do not attempt to repair the product or the connection cable by yourself.
Never switch on the appliance when:
• The appliance or the power lead is damaged.
• The device has been dropped, shows visible damage or is not functioning
properly.
• The appliance is damaged to such an extent that electrical parts are
exposed.
The product must be unplugged when:
• A defect occurs during operation
• You wish to clean the appliance
Attention
• Risk of burns! Do not let bare skin come into contact with the heating plates
during or after use until such time that the plates have cooled down.
• When in operation, the power cord should not be allowed to come in con-
tact with the heating plates.
• When in operation, only place the appliance down on firm, heat-resistant
surfaces.
• Make sure that the appliance has completely cooled down before storing
away.
• This appliance is designed for use indoors only. Do not use outdoors.
• Never use petrol spirits or other abrasive cleaning substances.
• Do not use appliance near combustible gases, e.g. directly in the airflow of
sprays, aerosols and styling foams.
Note
The JOICO Styler has been designed for professional use in salons; however
it can be used in domestic environments, too. I should be used only with
professional products specially designed for use with a heated styler.
