Step 1: Remove Topplate
a) Straighten the tab washers (see figure 1) securing the mounting bolts.
b) Remove the mounting bolts and tab washers.
c) Remove the bracket pins using a large screwdriver or pry bar.
d) Lift the topplate from the tractor. (Use extreme care whenever lifting and
moving heavy objects.)

Summary

Remove Topplate

Prepare and Remove Mounting Hardware

Straighten tab washers and remove mounting bolts and tab washers.

Remove Bracket Pins

Use a screwdriver or pry bar to remove the bracket pins.

Safely Lift Topplate

Carefully lift the topplate from the tractor, following safety guidelines for heavy objects.

Replace Slide Bracket

Remove Rear Stops

Remove eight bolts attaching the rear stops and then remove the rear stop by rotating.

Remove and Install Slide Bracket

Actuate the slider cylinder to remove the slide bracket and install the new bracket.

Adjust Slide Bracket

Re-adjust adjustment screws to ensure free movement and proper rack contact on both sides.

Reinstall Rear Stops

Reinstall the rear stops and torque all bolts to 40 ft-lbs.

Re-Install Topplate

Lower Topplate onto Bracket

Use a suitable lifting device to lower the topplate onto the bracket.

Install and Secure Mounting Hardware

Install bracket pins, tab washers, and mounting bolts, then bend tabs to secure each bolt.

Lubricate Pivot Collars

Liberally grease the top of the pivot collars to help hold them in place before installation.
