Why is there cold water at hot taps in my Joule Industrial Equipment?
    • J
      Johnathan KellyAug 12, 2025
If you're experiencing cold water at your hot taps, it could be due to several reasons: the immersion heater might not be switched on or its cutout has triggered (check and reset it); for indirect systems, the boiler may not be working (consult the boiler manufacturer's instructions), there may be a motorized valve fault (check the plumbing/wiring), or the cutout in the dual stat has operated (check for faults in the thermostat or high limit stat and reset).

What to do if there is no hot water flow in my Joule Industrial Equipment?
    • L
      Lauren HortonAug 16, 2025
If you have no hot water flow, first check and open the stopcock if the cold main is off. Also, the strainer in the pressure reducing valve might be blocked, so isolate the water supply and clean it. Finally, the inlet control set may be fitted incorrectly, so check and restart as required.

What to do if water discharges from the expansion relief valve of my Joule Industrial Equipment?
    • J
      Jessica KellyAug 20, 2025
If water is discharging from the expansion relief valve, the air gap may need to be recharged. If the discharge is continual, the pressure reducing valve (part of the inlet control set) may not be operating correctly; check that the outlet pressure from the inlet control set is 3 bar. Also, the expansion relief valve seat may be damaged; remove the cartridge, check the seat, and renew it if necessary. Another cause may be that the unit is being back pressurized. With the cylinder cold, check the pressure in the cylinder; if it's the same as the incoming mains pressure, you're getting backfeed; install a balanced cold supply.

What to do if water discharges from temperature & pressure relief valve of my Joule Industrial Equipment?
    • D
      Deanna RamosAug 23, 2025
If water discharges from the temperature & pressure relief valve, it indicates the unit has overheated due to thermal control failure. Switch off the power to the boiler and immersion heaters, but leave the water supply on. Wait until the discharge stops, then isolate the water supply and replace the faulty components.

How to fix noise during hot water draw off in my Joule Industrial Equipment?
    • J
      Joseph CollinsAug 27, 2025
If you're experiencing noise during hot water draw off, especially in the morning, it could be due to loose airing cupboard pipework. To resolve this, install extra clips to secure the pipes.

How to fix water escaping from the case unit of my Joule Industrial Equipment?
    • L
      lori90Aug 31, 2025
If water is escaping from the case unit, the compression fitting on the hot draw off may not be sealing properly. Check and remake the joint, applying sealing paste.

    Donna WhiteSep 4, 2025
Why is there hot or warm water coming from the cold tap of my Joule Industrial Equipment?
    • A
      Abigail CalhounSep 4, 2025
If the tap runs cold after a minute or so, the pipe is likely picking up heat from the heating pipework. Insulate or re-route the pipe.

    Brandon BrownSep 8, 2025
Why is the water from my Joule Industrial Equipment milky or cloudy?
    • S
      sgraySep 8, 2025
Milky or cloudy water is often due to oxygenated water. Water from any pressurized system will release oxygen bubbles when flowing. These bubbles will settle out over time.
