This document serves as the user's manual for the Jovikids child safety seat, model WD001, designed for Group 0+/I/II/III, covering a weight range of 0-36 kg. The product is approved according to the European safety standard ECE R44/04, ensuring quality and adherence to strict safety regulations.

Function Description:

The Jovikids child safety seat is a versatile restraint system designed to provide safety and comfort for children from birth up to 36 kg. It supports multiple installation methods and facing directions to accommodate different age and weight groups. For Group 0+/I (0-18kg), it can be installed rearward-facing using ISOFIX + Support Leg + harness. For Group I (9-18kg), it is installed forward-facing with ISOFIX + Support Leg + harness. For Group II/III (15-36kg), it can be installed forward-facing using either a vehicle 3-point belt + FIT (ISOFIX) or just a vehicle 3-point belt. The seat features a rotating function for easier child placement and adjustment.

  • Installation Methods:

  • Reclining Positions: 5 recline positions, with the most reclined position recommended for rearward-facing installation. Upright position is available for Group III (child's weight over 22kg).
  • Headrest Positions: 12 adjustable headrest positions (7 for Group 0+/I; 5 for Group II/III).
  • Harness System: 5-point harness for Group 0+/I. For Group II/III, the harness is not used, and the vehicle's 3-point belt is used instead.
  • Rotation: 360° rotation capability (for Premium/Professional/Ultimate versions), allowing for sideward facing for child placement.
  • Electronic System (Premium/Professional/Ultimate versions): Includes power switch, ISOFIX LED indicators, and potentially a battery indicator on a mobile app for the Ultimate version.
  • Battery: Uses NO. 5 batteries for the electronic system.

Usage Features:

  • Baby Insert: Recommended for babies weighing less than 13kg to provide necessary protection. The cuddleme insert part is for babies under 5.5kg.
  • Headrest Adjustment: The headrest should be adjusted so that the shoulder straps are at or slightly above the child's shoulders.
  • Harness Adjustment: Shoulder straps can be loosened by pressing the harness adjusting button and pulled forward. The harness buckle has two slots (A and B) for different baby weights (slot A for <9kg, slot B for 9-18kg).
  • ISOFIX Installation: Features ISOFIX connectors that slide out and click into vehicle anchorages. Red/green indicators (and LED lights on some versions) confirm correct installation. A support leg is used for stability, extending to the vehicle floor.
  • Vehicle 3-point Belt Installation: For Group II/III, the vehicle's 3-point belt is routed through the car seat's belt guides and fastened.
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Never use in seating positions with active frontal airbags.
    • Do not use forward-facing if the child is below 9kg.
    • Always secure the child with the harness or belts.
    • Ensure lap strap is worn low down and tight to engage the pelvis firmly.
    • Straps should not be twisted.
    • Do not leave child unattended.
    • Replace the seat after an accident.
    • Do not modify the product.
    • Cover the seat in hot weather to prevent burns.
    • Ensure all luggage and objects are secured in the vehicle.
    • The seat should not be used without its original fabric cover.
    • For rotating versions, ensure the rotating part is fully engaged before driving.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • The fabric cover is removable and washable at 30°C with neutral detergent. Follow washing label instructions.
    • Wringing or ironing the cover is forbidden.
    • Plastic parts can be cleaned with soapy water; avoid strong detergents.
    • The harness belt can be cleaned with soapy water; do not remove the buckle socket from the shoulder strap.
  • Security Check:
    • Regularly check the firmness of the shoulder strap system and its height.
    • Check the 5-point harness belt for damage.
    • For Group II/III, ensure the seat is fixed by the 3-point harness belt in the vehicle.
    • Contact the supplier in case of damage or malfunction.
  • Battery Replacement:
    • If floodlight/indicator light or buzzer sound weakens, replace batteries.
    • Use a cross screwdriver to open the battery box cover at the bottom of the car seat, replace batteries, and tighten the cover.
  • Warranty:
    • 12-month warranty from purchase date, applicable to the original owner and unmodified products.
    • Requires a validated purchase receipt and clear description of the complaint for claims.
    • Warranty is void for misuse, improper maintenance, third-party repairs, neglect, damaged/removed serial numbers, or normal wear and tear.
