The JOYCARE JC-1517 COCCOLAMI is a bedside crib designed for infants, offering both traditional crib mode and co-sleeping functionality. It complies with safety standards EN 1130:2019 and EN 16890:2017.
Function Description:
The JOYCARE JC-1517 COCCOLAMI functions as a versatile crib for infants from 0 to 6 months, up to a maximum weight of 9 kg. It can be used as a standalone traditional cradle or as a bedside crib, securely attached to an adult bed. The co-sleeping mode allows the side barrier to be lowered, facilitating proximity and easier access to the baby for parents. The crib features height adjustment, allowing it to be adapted to different adult bed heights, and also offers the ability to incline the crib for the baby's comfort. The design includes a mesh window for visibility and ventilation.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Age/Weight Range: 0-6 months, up to 9 kg.
- Mattress: Specifically designed for JC-1517, complying with EN 16890:2017. Only one mattress should be used.
- Adult Bed Compatibility (Co-sleeping mode): Suitable for adult beds with a mattress height between 54 cm and 65 cm from the floor. The adult mattress must be higher than or equal to the crib's side support for containment.
- Height Adjustment: 5 different positions.
- Incline Adjustment: Maximum variance of 2 positions between one side and the other. The child's head should always be positioned on the highest side.
- Materials: Features a removable and washable fabric cover.
- Safety Standards: Complies with EN 1130:2019 and EN 16890:2017.
Usage Features:
- Assembly: The crib requires assembly, starting by unfolding the side legs of the main structure and attaching the bottom and top supports. Velcro straps secure the fabric cover to the supports. The provided mattress is then placed inside.
- Traditional Crib Mode: Once assembled, the product is ready for use as a traditional crib. It is crucial to ensure the side rail is raised, correctly attached, and zippers are completely closed when the child is unattended in this mode.
- Height Adjustment: The crib's height can be adjusted by simultaneously pressing buttons on the side supports to raise or lower the cradle. A "CLICK" sound indicates secure locking in position. One side can be adjusted independently to incline the crib, but the child's head must always be on the higher side. Adjustment operations should never be performed with the child inside the crib.
- Co-sleeping Mode (Fixing to Bed):
- Preparation: Open the side zippers and remove the tube from the side barrier by pressing the buttons underneath the fabric. Lower the side barrier.
- Attachment: Position the crib next to the adult bed. Use the provided fixing belts: attach buckles underneath the crib, then wrap the straps around the adult bed's structure (slats or mattress support) and fasten the buckles below the crib to form a loop. Pull the straps firmly to ensure the crib is securely attached to the adult bed.
- Safety Checks: In co-sleeping mode, the crib must be securely anchored to the adult bed, and there should be no gap between the crib's side barrier and the adult mattress. Both sides of the crib must be adjusted to the same height. The top rail of the crib should not be higher than the adult mattress to prevent strangulation risks. The attachment system must always be used.
- Leg Adjustment: The crib's legs can be adjusted by pulling or pushing them, allowing the crib to fit under different adult bed frames. This feature enhances stability in traditional crib mode when fully extended.
- General Safety Warnings:
- Always read instructions before use.
- Discontinue use when the child can sit, kneel, or pull themselves up.
- Do not place additional items in the crib that could cause suffocation.
