This document describes the JUJIANG Wall-Mounted Wireless Keypad, Model TKM-01, a device designed for controlling gate openers with enhanced security and convenience features.

Function Description

The JUJIANG TKM-01 is a wall-mounted wireless keypad that allows users to control gate openers using a passcode. It supports two independent control channels, enabling control of different gate functions (e.g., single swing gate and double swing gates). The keypad is activated by pressing any button and features a low battery prompt, an anti-tamper alarm, and protection against passcode spying. It also includes options to mute/unmute the buzzer and turn on/off the backlight. For security, the keypad deactivates temporarily after multiple incorrect passcode attempts.

Usage Features

The keypad offers several user-friendly features:

Activation: Pressing any button activates the keypad.
Two Channels: It supports two independent control channels, allowing for versatile gate control.
Low Battery Prompt: If the battery power drops below 80%, the device emits a sound prompt after each encoding is sent.
Anti-Tamper Function: A travel switch triggers an alarm if the host shell is illegally opened, enhancing security.
Anti-Spying Mode: This feature helps prevent others from spying on your passcode. To use it, press any numerical buttons (0-9) on the keypad, ensuring your passcode is included in the correct order, then press '#'. The keypad will automatically sort out the passcode and control the gate opener.
Buzzer Control: Users can mute or unmute the keypad's buzzer.
Backlight Control: The backlight can be turned on or off.
Deactivation: The keypad deactivates for 2 minutes after 3 consecutive wrong passcode attempts, sounding an alarm and lighting a red light.
Passcode Setting:
- Programming Protection Passcode: The default is 0000. It can be changed by entering the current programming protection passcode, then '69#', followed by the new 4-digit passcode and '#'.
- Entry Passcode (Channel 1 & 2): The default for channel 1 is 1111 (stores up to 8 passcodes), and for channel 2 is 2222 (stores up to 3 passcodes). To set an entry passcode, enter the programming protection passcode, then '01#' (for channel 1) or '02#' (for channel 2), followed by the new 4-digit entry passcode and '#'.
Programming to Gate Opener:
1. Enter the programming protection passcode (e.g., 8888*). The keypad will sound a long beep and its blue backlight will light up.
2. Enter '55#'. The keypad will give a long beep and transmit an RF signal for about 10 seconds.
3. Power on your gate opener and press the "Learn" button on its control board. The control board's digital display should show a number, its indicator LED should flash four times, and a buzzer should sound, indicating successful programming.
Operating the Gate:
- For a single gate (channel 1), enter the channel 1 passcode (e.g., 5555#).
- For double gates (channel 2), enter the channel 2 passcode (e.g., 6666#).
Reset Entry Passcode: To reset all entry passcodes to factory defaults (1111 for channel 1, 2222 for channel 2), enter the programming protection passcode, then '00#'.
Passcode Testing: To determine which channel a passcode is using, enter the programming protection passcode, then '86#', followed by the 4-digit entry passcode and '#'. One beep indicates channel 1, and two beeps indicate channel 2.
Battery Life Checking: Enter the programming protection passcode, then '89#'. A long beep means serviceable life, while a short beep with a lit red light indicates the need for battery replacement.

Maintenance Features

Battery Removal: Remove batteries and store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
Cleaning: Clean the keypad with a dry, soft cloth. Do not rinse.
Resetting the Keypad:
1. Remove the cover locking bolt and slide out the keypad.
2. Gently hold the reset button (located near the interlock pin) using a pin or similar tool until all lights on the keypad illuminate, indicating a successful reset.
3. After a reset, the programming protection passcode defaults to 0000, channel 1 entry passcode to 1111, and channel 2 entry passcode to 2222. These can be modified as needed.

Safety Information

Children should only use this device under close and constant supervision.
Do not pair any button of this device with more than one gate opener circuit board.
Only use this remote control when the gate can be clearly seen and there are no obstructions in its path of travel.
Cease use immediately if any irregularity occurs. Recalibrate, repair, or replace problematic parts before further use.

Mounting Position Suggested

The wireless keypad should be installed outside the property (for "Pull to Open" gates) and on the same side of the driveway where the control box is located. The distance between the keypad and the control box should not exceed 5 meters. Installing the keypad on the opposite side of the driveway may lead to interference from electromagnetic waves from passing vehicles. In locations with restricted frequency interference (e.g., near airports) or if the control box is more than 30 feet (10 meters) away from the gate opener, a wired keypad is recommended.
