4) Oil in the feed box
1. The amount of oil in the feed box is 55cc. (The oil type shall be of
JUKI New Defrix Oil No. 2. equivalent to ISO VG32)
(Caution) Unless any problem occurs, never open the feed box .
4) Oil in the feed box
1. When the sewing machine is used, confirm through the oil can be seen
in the inspection window that the lubricant is contained in the feed
box.
2. The amount of oil in the feed box is 60 to 65ml. (The oil type shall be
JUKI Machine Oil No. 18 or JUKI New Defrix Oil No. 2.)
3. The oil in the feed box is different from the hook oil. Do not replenish
the oil.
(Caution) 1. Never Open the feed box unless any problem.
2. There is no problem in terms of the quantity of oil so
long as oil inspection window is filled with oil.
(In the case that the head is tilted with the genuine head
support bar mounted on the genuine table)
5) Replacement of the hook shaft oil wick
1. Loosen setscrews (small hook: 2 places, large hook : 3 places) of
the hook gib and remove hook gib .
2. Remove inner hook .
3. Loosen oil plug with the L-shaped screwdriver (Part No. :
B9101490000) and remove it.
4. Draw out the oil wick that inserted in the oil plug , and replace it
with a new one . (Refer to 4 for the insertion depth.)
[Part No. of oil wick : 11015906]
(Caution) When strongly pressing oil wick, , it may be broken.
Lightly insert it to such an extent that it is not drawn out.
[Pressing pressure: 9.8 ~ 19.6N (1 to 2kg)]
5. After the replacement, assemble oil plug , inner hook and hook
gib to the hook by reversing the above procedure.
Perform confirming of oil splash.
(Caution) When loosening/assembling, do not allow the slit section
of oil plug to be burred.
When the amount of oil is little
o The lubricant is not carried as far
as to the feed mechanism, thus
causing the reduction of durabil-
ity or the occurrence of rattles or
abrasion.
When the amount of oil is much
o The oil may ooze out of the air
relief hole on the side face of
the bed.
o If the pressing pressure is too
much, the hook oil becomes un-
stable and oil supply may be sus-
pended.
