Overview

The JumpSport Fitness Trampoline Half-Fold Models (230F, 350F, and Pro Series 550F) are designed for indoor exercise, offering a versatile and engaging way to stay active. These rebounder trampolines are built with a half-fold frame for convenient storage and portability, making them suitable for various home environments. The design emphasizes user safety and a controlled bouncing experience, distinguishing them from traditional recreational trampolines.

Function Description

The primary function of these JumpSport Fitness Trampolines is to provide a low-impact, high-intensity workout platform. Users engage in rebounding exercises, which involve bouncing on the elastic bed to improve cardiovascular health, strengthen muscles, enhance balance, and boost lymphatic circulation. The elastic cord suspension system, rather than traditional springs, provides a smooth, quiet, and deeper bounce, which is gentler on joints compared to hard-surface exercises. The half-fold design allows the trampoline frame to be folded in half, significantly reducing its footprint for storage or transport. When unfolded, the frame locks into a stable, circular shape, ready for use. The design also accommodates an optional exercise handle bar, which can be installed to provide additional stability and support, expanding the range of possible exercises and catering to users who may need extra balance assistance.

Usage Features

The JumpSport Fitness Trampoline is designed for adult use, with an emphasis on mature, knowledgeable supervision. It is strictly for single-person use to prevent serious injury from collisions. The trampolines are intended for indoor use only, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

A critical usage feature is the Bungee Removal Method for One Person, which is essential for safely opening, unfolding, closing, and folding the frame. This method involves removing every other bungee assembly before manipulating the frame, preventing the frame rails from springing back unexpectedly and causing injury. Users are explicitly warned against attempting to open or close the frame without following this method. The hinge wire locks are a key safety component, requiring users to ensure they are fully open/unlocked when folding/unfolding and fully closed/locked when the trampoline is in use.

For unfolding, one leg is temporarily installed to act as a handle, allowing the user to push the leg away until the frame pops open and lies flat. Once open, the hinge locks are fully closed to secure the frame. The bungees that were removed are then reinstalled, ensuring they are fully seated and equally tensioned.

For folding, the process is reversed: legs are removed, every other bungee is detached, and one leg is temporarily reinstalled as a handle. The hinge locks are fully opened, and the user stands on the frame, pulling the leg handle firmly while maintaining light weight on the mat to initiate the fold. Throughout both processes, users are warned to keep their head, face, and hands clear of the hinges to avoid pinch points and serious injury.

The trampolines are designed to be used with appropriate footwear, such as walking, running, or cross-training shoes with rubber non-skid soles, or bare feet. Loose clothing should be avoided to prevent entanglement. Users are advised to maintain balance carefully when mounting, using, or dismounting the trampoline, and to come to a complete stop before dismounting to prevent sprains or broken bones. Somersaults, gymnastic, or acrobatic maneuvers are strictly prohibited due to the risk of serious head or neck injury, paralysis, or death.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for ensuring the safety and longevity of the JumpSport Fitness Trampoline. Users are instructed to inspect the trampoline before each use for any worn, defective, or missing parts. This includes checking for punctures, frays, tears, or holes in the bed or elastic bands, deterioration in stitching or fabric, ruptured or damaged elastic bands, a bent or broken frame, a sagging bed, and any sharp protrusions on the frame or suspension system. Any identified hazards should be addressed immediately by replacing the affected parts.

The elastic cords, known as EnduroLast Cords, are wear items and will need replacement over time, especially if visible damage occurs or if they feel too soft. The manual provides detailed instructions for replacing these cords, emphasizing proper knot placement and tensioning within the FlexBounce Connector. For models with an adjustable FlexBounce system, users can adjust the cord tension to achieve a firmer bounce, which can improve performance and extend cord life. This adjustment involves pulling the cord tighter to a different knot setting on the FlexBounce connector, according to a provided chart for Soft, Medium, and Firm settings.

Leg installation and tightening are also part of routine maintenance. For the 230F model, legs are pulled up and away, aligned with the frame stud, and guided into place until they rest against the frame. For the 300 and 500 series, leg sockets fit over studs, and leg screws are tightened clockwise using a 6mm Allen wrench. Users are advised to periodically check and retighten all leg screws to ensure stability and prevent wobbling.

When installing the optional exercise handle bar, it replaces two normal legs. The handle legs are secured to the frame, and the side handles are connected to the top handle with snap buttons. The top assembly is then lowered into the handle legs and secured with large thumb screws, with height adjustment possible. Users are reminded that the handle bar is for balance aid and exercise versatility, not to support their entire weight.

For storage, the half-fold design allows for compact storage. When stacking multiple units, it is recommended to use two people and stack a maximum of eight units with their feet down. The trampoline should always be stored indoors in a dry place and secured against unauthorized and unsupervised use.
