anextendedperiodoftime,unplugitfromthewalloutletanddisconnecttheantenna,Thiswillprevent
damagetoproductduetolightningstormsorpowerlinesurges.
14ATVsetandcartcombinationshouldbemovedwithcare.Quickstops,excessiveforce,anduneven
surfacesmaycausetheTVsetandcartcombinationtooverturn.
15UnplugthisTVsetfromthewalloutletandreferservicingtoqualifiedservicepersonnelunderthe
followingconditions:
A.Whenthepowercordorplugisdamagedorfrayed.
B.IfliquidhasbeenspilledintotheTVset.
C,IftheTVsethasbeenexposedtorainorwater.
D,IftheTVsetdoesnotoperatenormallybyfollowingtheoperatinginstructions,Adjustonlythose
controlsthatarecoveredintheoperatinginstructionsasimproperadjustmentofothercontrolsmay
resultindamageandwilloftenrequireextensiveworkbyaqualifiedtechniciantorestoretheTVsetto
normaloperation.
E.IftheTVsethasbeendroppedordamagedinanyway.
RWhentheTVsetexhibitsadistinctchangeinperformance--thisindicatesaneedforservice.
16DonotattempttoservicethisTVsetyourselfasopeningorremovingcoversmayexposeyouto
dangerousvoltageorotherhazards,Referallservicingtoqualifiedservicepersonnel,
17Whenreplacementpartsarerequired,havetheservicetechnicianverifyinwritingthatthereplacement
partsheuseshavethesamesafetycharacteristicsastheoriginalparts.Useofmanufacturer'sspecified
replacementpartscanpreventfire,shock,orotherhazards.
18UponcompletionofanyserviceorrepairstothisTVset,pleaseasktheservicetechniciantoperformthe
safetycheckdescribedinthemanufacturer'sserviceliterature,
19WhenaTVsetreachestheendofitsusefullife,improperdisposalcouldresultinapicturetube
implosion.AskaqualifiedservicetechniciantodisposeoftheTVset.
