Investigate switching current/voltages for electric access control hardware. RCU relay is rated for 5A.
Requires low voltage power source (12-24V AC/DC, min 125mA). Do not exceed 24V.
Reader/controller position, wire routing, and security against vandalism are key considerations.
RCU has a Dry Contact Relay (NO/NC), rated 5A/250VAC or 5A/30VDC. Check local codes.
Plastic faceplate/enclosure needed for optimum RF transmissions to Messenger hub.
Program RCU/ECU using handheld programmer via USB probe on serial interface board.
Position reader box accessibly on locked side. Use drilling template for SR1 surface mount.
Position controller box on opposite wall within 15 meters of reader.
Run wires per schematic, use 3 twisted pair x 22 AWG CMP cable. Ensure code compliance.
Make wire connections according to the schematic diagram on the following page.
Secure faceplate with screws using 5/64” Allen wrench for SR1 and SR2.
Program RCU/ECU using handheld programmer via USB probe to serial interface board.
RCU requires 12-24V AC/DC input. Ensure voltage does not exceed 24V. Use separate enclosures for 110VAC supplies.
