Usage Features
Lighting Instructions:
- Main Burner: Push down and turn the control knob anticlockwise to HIGH (+), then press the ELECTRONIC IGNITER button for 2-3 seconds until the burner ignites. If ignition doesn't occur within 5 seconds, turn the knob OFF, wait 1 minute, and repeat.
- Infrared Rear Burner: Push down and turn the control knob anticlockwise to HIGH (+), then press the ELECTRONIC IGNITER button for 2-3 seconds. Keep holding the knob for 10 seconds after ignition for flame stability. If ignition doesn't occur within 5 seconds, turn the knob OFF, wait 1 minute, and repeat.
- Match Lighting: If electronic ignition fails, insert a match into the light rod, ignite it, and insert through the cooking grid to the burner. Push and turn the control knob to HI slowly.
Gas Cylinder Connection/Disconnection:
- Ensure cylinder and burner valves are in the OFF position before connecting.
- Inspect valve connections, port, and regulator assembly for debris or damage.
- Tighten the regulator nut clockwise by hand until it stops. Do not use a wrench.
- Open the cylinder valve fully by turning counterclockwise.
- Perform a leak test with soap and water solution before each use.
- To disconnect, turn grill burner valve OFF, ensure grill is cool, turn LP cylinder valve OFF clockwise, then detach regulator assembly by turning the quick coupling nut counterclockwise. Place dust cap on cylinder valve outlet.
LP Gas Cylinder Warnings:
- Do not store spare LP gas cylinders under or near the appliance.
- Never fill the cylinder beyond 80% capacity.
- LP cylinders must be fitted with an Overfill Protection Device (OPD).
- Standard 20lbs LP gas cylinder dimensions: 12.2 inches diameter, 17.9 inches tall.
- Cylinder must include a collar to protect the valve.
- Store cylinders out of reach of children and not in enclosed areas.
Built-in Installation:
- The grill is designed for built-in installation, requiring specific cabinet cutout dimensions and ventilation.
- The island must have ventilation on all four sides as diagrammed to ensure adequate airflow.
- No solid surface should be underneath the firebox portion of the grill.
- The island must be ventilated in one of two ways: a 90° or 180° ventilation to ensure air flows through the island at eight 90° or 180° points.
Conversion from LPG to NG:
- Conversion must be performed by an authorized person.
- Ensure all control knobs and cylinder valve are in the OFF position.
- The appliance must be isolated from the gas supply piping system during pressure testing.
- The conversion kit is installed by removing the LP orifice and leaving the NG orifice.
- Detailed steps involve removing the rear panel, unscrewing and removing the main burner, unscrewing the brass LPG jet while retaining the inner NG jet, and reassembling.
- For the rear burner, remove the back burner cover and the LPG jet from the elbow-shaped brass injector assembly.
- After conversion, connect the QDD (Quick Disconnect Device) to the natural gas supply and then to the grey hose.
- A leak test must be performed after conversion, and the provided marking from the conversion kit must be placed on the control panel.
