NOTE: This kit was not designed
to t vehicles with a body lift.
1. Turn o󰀨 the ignition and disconnect the negative
battery cable.
NOTE: Disconnecting the negative battery cable
erases pre-programmed electronic memories.
Write down all memory settings before
disconnecting the negative battery cable. Some
radios will require an anti-theft code to be
entered after the battery is reconnected. The
anti-theft code is typically supplied with your
owner’s manual. In the event your vehicles’
anti-theft code cannot be recovered, contact an
authorized dealership to obtain your vehicles
anti-theft code.
TO START:
2. Lift up the engine cover to dislodge it from the
mounting grommets and then remove the cover
from the vehicle.

3. Disconnect the mass air sensor electrical
connection and then unhook the wiring harness
from the air box.
NOTE: The wiring harness attaches in three
locations.
4. Unhook the fuel pressure vent line from the fuel
pressure regulator.
5. Disconnect the crank case vent hose from the
stock intake tube.
6. Remove the bolt which secures the tube
mounting bracket to the engine valve cover.

Installation Steps

Disconnect Battery and Remove Engine Cover

Turn off ignition, disconnect negative battery cable, and remove engine cover.

Disconnect Air Intake Components

Disconnect mass air sensor, fuel pressure vent line, and crank case vent hose.

Remove Stock Intake Tube and Air Box

Loosen clamps, release clips, and remove intake tube, upper, and lower air boxes.

Prepare and Install Mounting Components

Install rubber studs, brackets, and edge trim onto heat shield and vehicle.

Install Air Filter Adapter and Hose

Install filter adapter into heat shield and connect silicone hump hose.

Install K&N Intake Tube Assembly

Connect K&N intake tube to filter adapter and throttle body silicone hose.

Install Mass Air Sensor and Vent Fittings

Install mass air sensor and 5/8" and 3/16" vent fittings into intake tube.

Connect Remaining Hoses and Lines

Connect crank case vent line and fuel pressure vent line to K&N tube.

Install Air Filter and Heat Shield Cover

Install air filter and heat shield cover, securing with provided hardware.

Final Connections and Reassembly

Reconnect mass air sensor, engine cover, and negative battery cable.

Important Notes and Road Testing

C.A.R.B. Exemption and Maintenance

Ensure C.A.R.B. sticker is visible and follow periodic maintenance checks.

Road Testing Procedures

Start engine, check for leaks, test drive for performance and noises.

Air Filter Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean air filter element every 100,000 miles or more often if needed.
