5. Instruction for Connecting Modem – PC
1) Make sure the following :
- Your Cable Modem is powered ON. The power LED will be t urned ON.
- Your PC is t urned-on and connect ed t o Cable Modem using an Ethernet cable.
- Connect t ight ly the coaxial cable t o the cable out let .
- Aft er Online LED is ON, Cable Modem becom es online.
2) Configure your PC to obt ain an I P address from a DHCP server .
3) From y our PC, st art your w eb browser applicat ion lik e Chr om e, I nt ernet Explor er,
or et c.
4) Type a valid URL such as
“ ww w.k aonm edia. com ” and < Ent er > .
The w eb sit e should be open if connect ed cor rect ly.
