Why is the output pressure of my Kärcher Pressure Washer varying high and low?
    • E
      Emily WatersAug 12, 2025
If the output pressure is varying, there could be several reasons: * There is not enough inlet water supply. Turn the water on full force and check the garden hose for kinks, leaks, or blockages. * The pump is sucking air. Check that hoses and fittings are airtight and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle. * The water inlet filter is clogged. Remove the filter and rinse it out in warm water. * The discharge nozzle is obstructed. Blow out or remove debris with a fine needle. * The gun, hose, or power nozzle is calcified. Run distilled vinegar through the detergent tank.

Why won't my Kärcher Pressure Washer motor start?
    • B
      Brandy WebsterAug 16, 2025
The motor may not start because the On/Off switch is in the “OFF” (O) position. Turn the switch to the “ON” (I) position. Also, check if the power cord is not plugged in and plug it in. The extension cord might be too long, not the proper gauge, or damaged; replace it with either a 25 ft. 12/2 gauge cord or a 50 ft. 10/2 gauge cord. Finally, the electrical outlet may not supply adequate power, so try a different outlet.

What to do if my Kärcher Pressure Washer doesn't reach high pressure?
    • E
      Elizabeth HawkinsAug 20, 2025
If your pressure washer isn't reaching high pressure, several factors could be the cause. First, the diameter of your garden hose may be too small; replace it with a 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch garden hose. Second, the water supply might be restricted; check your garden hose for kinks, leaks, and blockages. Third, there may not be enough inlet water supply, so open the water source fully. Also, the water inlet filter could be clogged; remove the filter and rinse it out in warm water. Lastly, the power nozzle might be in the low-pressure position; turn the power nozzle to the high-pressure position.

Why is my Kärcher Pressure Washer pump noisy?
    • A
      Anthony PonceAug 25, 2025
The pump is noisy because it is sucking air. Check that hoses and fittings are airtight. Turn off the machine and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle.

Why is there no detergent coming out of my Kärcher Pressure Washer?
    • R
      Regina ShortAug 31, 2025
If there's no detergent, the detergent might be too thick, so dilute it. Also, the filter on the detergent suction tube might be clogged; run warm water through the filter to remove debris. The detergent suction tube could be damaged or clogged; remove any obstruction or replace the tube. The quatro nozzle might be in the high-pressure position; turn the quatro tip to the low-pressure position. Finally, the discharge nozzle might be obstructed; blow out or remove debris with a fine needle.
