0929/01c Carpet Cleaner – Karcher Puzzi 100
Now connect the fluid and suction
hoses to the main unit and the
wand.The fluid and suction hoses
are push fit. To disconnect the
fluid hose, depress the release
button and part gently to
separate.
Pre-mix hand hot (60 degrees
MAX) water with the cleaning fluid
in a separate container and in
accordance with the instructions
on the fluid container. If in doubt,
contact the hire company for
advice.
Fill the fresh water tank with the
pre-mixed solution to the
maximum level.
All that remains is to plug the
Carpet Cleaner into its power
supply socket and switch the
supply ON.
The Carpet Cleaner is fitted with two ON/OFF switches which can
be hand or foot operated. There is one for the pump which delivers
the cleaning fluid and one for the vacuum motor.
You can run either individually or both at the same time.
To switch ON or OFF, press and
release the respective switch.
Note that when unplugged from
the power supply, these
switches do not automatically
revert to OFF so you must
switch them OFF before
unplugging.
When the fluid pump is switched
ON, fluid will be sprayed at high
pressure whenever the fluid
trigger is operated. When the
pump is switched OFF some
pressure will remain in the
system and should be released
before disconnecting the hoses.
Remove everything from the work area which may cause
obstruction or hinder your progress.
Make sure you are always in control the Carpet Cleaners
whereabouts so that neither the hoses or the power supply cable
are placed under strain.
Switch both pumps ON.
Start in the furthest corner and against the skirting board. Squeeze
the fluid trigger and wait for the spray to appear. Now slowly move
the wand backward so that the sprayed fluid is immediately drawn
back up the vacuum section of the hose.
Always work in a backward direction in straight lines across the floor
area in a methodical pattern to ensure the entire area is covered.
DO NOT use the wand to ‘scrub’ the surface. Avoid over-wetting the
carpet.
Once all the carpet has been cleaned you can go over the surface
again with vacuum only to remove as much liquid as possible.
The soiled fluid is collected in the receiving tank. When the tank
becomes full, you will hear the motor increase in pitch and the
vacuum will cease.
When this happens, switch OFF both pumps and isolate the unit
from the power supply.
Lift the lid clear then remove the soiled water container.
Empty the contents either down the WC or an outside drain NOT the
sink or bath.
Rinse the container then replace it followed by the lid.
Check the level of clean water and cleaning fluid and top up as
necessary.
This is a hand held attachment
which fits directly to the hoses
and used in the same way as the
floor wand.
When cleaning upholstery,
carryout the same preparations
and precautionary tests as you
would for a carpet.
When not being used, store the unit in a clean condition and in a
safe place, away from thieves and unauthorised users. Protect the
Carpet Cleaner from frost and freezing conditions.
When you have finished with the Carpet Cleaner, switch it OFF and
isolate it from the power supply. Remove the soiled water container
and empty its contents.
Disconnect the hose and fittings and collect everything together
ready for return.
