Usage Features
Getting Started:
- Unpacking: Remove the appliance and all packaging from the box.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, ensure the air fryer is switched off and unplugged. Wipe the main unit with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Clean the non-stick coated cooking basket in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaning detergents.
- Placement: Place the main unit on a stable, heat-resistant surface at a comfortable height.
- First Use Odor: A slight smoke or odor may be emitted during the first use, which is normal and will subside. It is recommended to run the air fryer without food for approximately 10 minutes to prevent initial smoke/odor from affecting food taste. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Assembling the Air Fryer:
- Fit the non-stick coated cooking basket into the cooking compartment.
- Slide the cooking basket into the main unit to close it securely. The air fryer will not operate if the basket is not closed properly.
Using the Air Fryer:
- Power On: Plug in and switch on the air fryer at the mains power supply.
- Preheating: Preheat the air fryer for approximately 5 minutes by touching the power button. The heat indicator light will illuminate, signaling heating, and will turn off automatically once the desired temperature is reached. Always preheat or add 3-5 minutes to the cooking time.
- Loading Food: Remove the basket using the handle and place it on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Place ingredients into the non-stick coated cooking basket, then slide it back into the main unit.
- Temperature Setting: Adjust the cooking temperature (80-200°C) in 5°C increments. Holding the button down will change the temperature rapidly.
- Time Setting: Adjust the cooking time (up to 60 minutes) in one-minute increments. Holding the button down will change the time rapidly.
- Shaking Ingredients: Some ingredients may require shaking halfway through cooking. Remove the basket, shake gently, and then reinsert it to continue cooking.
- Checking Doneness: Once cooking is complete and the preset time has elapsed, carefully open the basket to check if ingredients are ready. If not, close the basket and increase cooking time using the timer.
- Removing Food: If food is cooked, remove the non-stick coated basket and pour contents into a bowl or onto a plate. Use heat-resistant tongs for large or fragile items. Do not tip food directly into a bowl or plate, as excess oil may collect at the bottom of the basket and leak onto ingredients.
Automatic Switch-Off:
The air fryer automatically switches off when the set cooking time has elapsed (accompanied by a timer sound) or if the basket is pulled out during cooking. Reinserting the basket will resume the countdown. To turn off the air fryer before the set time, switch it off and unplug it from the mains.
