Wireless ADSL Router USER MANUAL
19
This is the IPv6 address that other devices on your local
network will use to connect to the modem.
The IPv6 RA feature provides support for allowing the network
administrator to block or reject unwanted or rogue router
advertisement (RA) guard messages that arrive at the network
device platform.
The List DHCPv6 Prefixes page shows the existing prefixes.
Prefix pools can be defined so that each user is allocated a
64-bit prefix or so that a single prefix is shared among several
users. In a shared prefix pool, each user may receive only one
address from the pool.
The DHCP server assigns an IP addresses from a pre-set pool
of addresses upon request from DHCP client (e.g. your
computer). Do not disable the DHCP server unless you wish to
let another device handle IP address issuance on the local
network.
