      If the mA output of your Katronic Monitor is less than 4 mA, ensure that the power supply is within the range of 22 to 36 V dc and can supply at least 150 mA.

      If the red LED is illuminated on your Katronic Monitor after setup, first check that there is flow in the pipe and that the flow is within the rated flow rates. Also, ensure that the device is correctly aligned on the pipe and that the banding is as tight as possible.

      If the output of your Katronic Monitor doesn't reach 10 V or 20 mA even at maximum flow, it might be because the outputs are scaled for a flow rate range of 0.3 to 3.6 m/s, and the application flow rate range may not be the same.

      If there is no change in the Katronic Monitor output for a given change in flow, verify that the application criteria align with the application guidelines. Also, if you're using very pure or distilled water with a solids concentration less than 100 parts per million (100 µm diameter minimum), there may not be enough particles in the flow. Finally, check that the sensor is firmly clamped to the pipe with a suitable acoustic couplant (i.e., silicon grease) and that the setup procedure has been completed.

      If the LEDs on your Katronic Monitor are not illuminated, first press the red button to see if the green LED illuminates. If not, check that the sensor is wired correctly.

    Why the alarm set point cannot be set to a 10% or 20% band / level at certain flow rates on Katronic KATflow 10?

      At some low flow rates the Katronic Monitor will not set 10% or 20% alarm set points as the signal resolution would be too small. In these cases it will default to a 30% setting.
