  If the Kaufman Thermometer displays 'Lo' on the screen, it means the reading is below 32.9°C or 89.6°F. This could be due to several reasons: * Hair, perspiration, or other obstructions affecting the reading. Ensure the forehead is clear. * Drafts interfering with the infrared system. Make sure there are no drafts. * Readings taken too close together. Wait at least 15 seconds between readings (a 1-minute pause is advised). * Measurement distance too far. Use the device at a distance between 5 and 10 cm.
