The KegLand DIGIBOIL is a digital turbo boiler designed for various heating applications, available in two capacities: 35L and 65L. This appliance is intended for heating liquids and is not designed for cooling. Its primary function is to provide precise temperature control for brewing, distilling, or other processes requiring heated liquid.

Safety Information:

Before using the DIGIBOIL, it is crucial to follow several safety precautions to prevent injury and damage. Users should remove all packaging and plastic coatings from the appliance and clean it thoroughly before its first use, with Stellarclean (PBW mixture) recommended for removing any manufacturing oils. It's important to inspect the appliance for any damage incurred during transportation; if damage is found, the point of sale should be contacted for further instructions. The electrical supply cord must be undamaged, and if replacement is necessary, only a Digiboil supply cord should be used. Always disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply before servicing. The unit must be plugged into a certified earth socket; if unsure, a local electrician should be consulted. Users are strictly advised not to modify the Digiboil in any way, as alterations will void the warranty. The appliance should never be cleaned with a water jet or steam cleaner. Users should inform others that the surface of the Digiboil will become hot during operation. These instructions should be kept in a safe place for future reference.

Delivery Checklist:

Upon receiving the DIGIBOIL, users should verify that all components are present. The package should include the boiler unit itself, a stainless steel 1½" ball valve tap with a 13mm barb, and a lid. For 35L units, a standard metal lid with a plastic handle and two mount screws is provided. For 65L units, a clear glass lid with two black knob handles and mount screws is included. User instructions are also part of the package. If any item is missing, the dealer should be contacted immediately.

Operation:

The DIGIBOIL features a user-friendly display panel with buttons and indicators for easy operation.

• Temperature Control: The (+) button increases the temperature, while the (-) button decreases it. After setting the desired temperature, the set temperature will flash for 4 seconds before returning to display the actual temperature.
• Temperature Unit Change: To switch the temperature unit from Celsius (°C) to Fahrenheit (°F), press and hold both the (+) and (-) buttons simultaneously for three seconds until the screen flashes. The Red indicator light will then switch from °C to °F.
• Temperature Range: The default temperature display is in Degrees Celsius, with a range of 0-100°C. When switched to Fahrenheit, the range is 0-140°F.
• Indicator Lights: A RED indicator light signifies that the unit is currently heating. A GREEN indicator light indicates that the set temperature has been reached (standby mode).
• Safety Warnings on Display: The display panel prominently features warnings: "DO NOT BOIL DRY" and "DO NOT IMMERSE IN LIQUID," emphasizing critical safety guidelines.

Power and Heating:

• Power Switch: The DIGIBOIL is powered on and off using a rocker I(ON)/O(OFF) switch located on the left side of the display panel. This switch illuminates when the unit is turned on.
• Heating Functionality: The unit is designed solely for heating and does not have a cooling function. The default temperature setting is 100°C, with a controllable range of 0-100°C.
• Manual Wattage Adjustment: Users can manually adjust the heating power output of the Digiboil.
  • 35L Digiboil: This unit has a total output of 2400W, controlled by two element rocker switches: one for 1900W and another for 500W.
  • 65L Digiboil: This unit offers a higher total output of 3500W, controlled by three element rocker switches: 500W, 1000W, and 2000W, allowing for manual control over the heating intensity. It's important to note that the 65L units require a 15amp socket to achieve these higher wattages.

Error Codes:

The DIGIBOIL is equipped with an error code system to help diagnose potential issues:

• E1: Indicates an open circuit in the probe, which could mean it's not connected, has loose wires, or there's a board failure.
• E2: Signifies a probe short circuit, suggesting either a probe failure or a board failure.
• E3: Alerts the user that the thermal cutout switch has been activated, typically occurring if the unit has boiled dry.

Warning:

Several important warnings must be observed for safe and proper operation:

• The appliance must always be placed on a flat, horizontal surface.
• Ensure that there is safe and unrestricted operational access to the appliance.
• Do not place the appliance directly beneath or inside a sealed cupboard or space.
• Avoid using the unit in a low ceiling space, as the ceiling is susceptible to damage from water vapor.
• The appliance should not be used outdoors without protection from the elements.
• It must be installed at least 100mm away from any walls.
• Do not place the appliance on or near hot surfaces.
• Do not allow the appliance to freeze. If freezing occurs, do not operate the appliance and contact your point of sale or the manufacturer.
