What to do if my Kellyco Metal Detector has no power and no sounds?
    • M
      Melissa DayJul 31, 2025
If your Kellyco Metal Detector is not turning on and you're not getting any sound, the batteries might be dead. Try replacing them. Also, ensure the batteries are making good contact by pushing them in tighter. Finally, check all cord connections to make sure they are secure. As an additional step, consider inserting paper spacers.

Why does my Kellyco Metal Detector chatter or beep erratically?
    • J
      Jonathan DavisAug 7, 2025
If your Kellyco Metal Detector is chattering or beeping erratically, it might be due to using it indoors. Try using it outdoors only. Power lines can also cause interference, so move away from them. If you're using two detectors, keep them at least 20 feet apart. Highly oxidized buried objects can also cause this issue; only dig up repeatable signals. Environmental electromagnetic interference can also be the reason, so reduce the sensitivity until the erratic signals stop.

Why is my Kellyco Metal Detector making a constant low tone?
    • G
      gsandersAug 15, 2025
If your Kellyco Metal Detector is emitting a constant low tone or constant repeating tones, the batteries might be discharged. Replace them. Also, make sure you are using the correct type of batteries: use only 9V alkaline batteries or fully charged rechargeable ones.

What to do if LCD does not lock on to one target ID or Kellyco Metal Detector emits multiple tones?
    • T
      tony92Aug 22, 2025
If the LCD on your Kellyco Metal Detector isn't locking onto one target ID or the detector emits multiple tones, it could be due to multiple targets being present. Try moving the coil slowly at different angles. A highly oxidized target can also cause this; try reducing the sensitivity. Also, the sensitivity might be set too high, so reduce it.
