  If your Kenmore Mixer won't start, first ensure it's properly plugged in and that the outlet provides 120V. Check that the Tilt Head is locked in the down position and the speed dial is set to '0' before selecting a low speed. If the Tilt Head is hot, allow the motor to cool for 15 minutes before attempting to restart the mixer.

  It's normal for the Kenmore Mixer to warm up during use, and the surface may become hot, especially under heavy loads or during extended mixing. The mixer has a safety thermal shut-off feature. If it overheats, let it cool down for at least 15 minutes before using it again.

How to adjust the wire whisk position in my Kenmore Mixer bowl?

  To adjust the wire whisk position on your Kenmore Mixer: to raise the whisk, first remove it from the mixer shaft. Then, turn the set screw on top of the whisk clockwise to lower it. Reattach the whisk to the shaft, being careful not to turn the set screw too far down, which may obstruct attachment. To lower the whisk, remove it and turn the set screw counter-clockwise to raise it, being careful not to raise the screw too far, or it may fall out. Note that the beater and dough hook are pre-adjusted at the factory.
