Vacuum cleaner
starts but shuts
off.
Hose or hood electrical
connections.
Check connections, reconnect hose ends.
Tripped overload protector in

Remove any items that may be caught or
jammed, then restart. If vacuum cleaner starts
and stops again, clean brushroll and end caps,
then restart.
Tripped thermal protector in
canister.

not run when

connections
unplugged.
Plug in firmly.
Worn or broken belt.

Wrong pile height setting. Adjust setting.

Slide the electronic suction control to a lower
power setting.
Cord won’t
rewind.
Dirty power cord. Clean the power cord.
Cord jammed. Pull out cord and rewind.
