  Uneven browning in your Kenwood Toaster can occur if you're toasting just one slice of bread or if the bread slices vary in size, freshness, or thickness. For best results, use bread slices that are uniform. To achieve uniform browning we recommend you wait a minimum of 30 seconds between each toasting so that the control can automatically reset. Alternatively select a lower setting when additional toasting is carried out.

  If the carriage lever on your Kenwood Toaster won't stay down, make sure the toaster is plugged into a working power outlet. The lever will not stay down unless the toaster is plugged in.
