2.1. GROUNDING INSTALLATION

Thisappliancemustbegrounded.Intheeventofanelectricalshortcircuit,grounding
reducestehriskoflectricshockbyprovidinganescapewirefortheelectriccurrent.
Thisapplianceisequippedwithacordhavingagroundingwirewithagroundingplug.
Theplugmustbepluggedintoanoutletthatisproperlyinstalledandgrounded.
Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are
notcompletely understood or if doubt exists as to whether teh aplliance is porperly
grounded.
Ifitisnecessarytouseanextensioncord,useonlya3-wireextensioncord.
A short power-supplycord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming
entagledinortrippingoveralongercord.
Ifalongcordsetoeextensioncordisused:
1. Themarkedelectricalratingofthecordsetorextensioncordshouldbeatleast
asgreastastheelectricalratingoftheappliance.
2. Theextensioncordmustbeagrounding-type-3-wirecord.
3. Thelongcordshouldbearrangedsothatitwillnotdrapeoverthecountertop
ortabletopwhereitcanbepulledonbychildrenortrippedoverunintentionally.
