NOTE: Choose an outboard for the boat whose performance range and maximum
weight meets the requirements of the boat. Information on the maximum performance
and weight of the outboard can be found in the "Technical Data" table in this manual or
on the type plate attached to the boat.
CAUTION
• Should the skipper go overboard, the risk of serious or fatal injury by the boat can
be greatly reduced if the engine is switched off immediately. Always connect the
rip cord to the emergency stop switch and attach it to the boat driver.
• The switch can also be activated unintentionally during normal driving. This could
lead to the following dangerous situations.
• Avoid serious or fatal injuries caused by the deceleration force caused by
accidental or unexpected triggering of the emergency stop switch. Under no
circumstances should the skipper leave his operating position without first
loosening the ripcord.
AIR DRAINING
NOTE: The boat must be clean and dry before being rolled up for storage. Remove sand
and dirt from the boat skin. When draining the air from the boat, do not completely
empty one chamber at a time. Drain the air evenly from all chambers; this prevents
damage to the partitions in the boat.
• Put the boat on the ground.
• Insert a finger into the valve to open the valve.
• Drain some air from all the chambers.
• Ensure that the valves remain open (so that the air can continue to escape when
folded).
• Press evenly on the whole boat to let off as much air as possible.
FOLDING OF THE BOAT
• Put the boat on the ground.
• If available, remove the floor plates.
• Fold the boat to the center so that the entire boat is as wide as the mirror.
• Bring the end cones at the rear end of the side chambers to the center of the
mirror.
• Roll the mirror forward. This helps to drain the air. Make sure all valves are open.
• If the boat is folded up in this way, it will fit in the included bag for transport.
