IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFETY AND INSTALLATION
CAUTION–Whenusinganelectricalproductitisimportanttotakeanumberofprecautionssuchasthefollowing:
•ReadtheInstructionManualbeforeusingtheinstrument.
•Anadultshouldalwayssupervisechildrenwhentheyplaytheinstrument.
•Donotusetheinstrumentinareassubjecttoseepageorwaterspray,suchasnexttoasink,aswimmingpool,ona
dampsurfacesetc.;donotplacecontainerswithliquidsontheinstrumenttopreventaccidentalseepageofliquidintothe
instrument.
•Theinstrumentshouldbeusedonlyonastandrecommendedbythemanufacturer.
•Donotusetheinstrumentataveryhighvolumeforlongperiodsoftime:veryhighnoiselevelsaredangeroustohealth.
•Positiontheinstrumentinsuchawayastoensureappropriateventilation.
•Keeptheinstrumentawayfromheatsourcessuchascentralheatingradiators,stovesetc.
•Connecttheinstrumenttothemainsonlywiththemainsadapter.Youwillndtheidenticationandpowersupplydetails
undertheinstrument.
•Disconnectthepowersupplycableiftheinstrumentisnottobeusedforalongperiodoftime.
•Ifnecessary,disconnecttheinstrumentusingthepowersupplyswitchonthebackpanel.Whenpositioningtheinstrument,
alwaysensurethatthisswitchiseasytoreach.
•Taketheinstrumenttoaservicecentreif:
a.thepowersupplycableorplugaredamaged.
b.objectsorliquidhavefallenintotheinstrument.
c.theinstrumenthasbeenexposedtorain.
d.theinstrumentisnotfunctioningproperlyorperformanceisimpaired.
e.theinstrumenthasbeendroppedorthechassisisdamaged.
•Neverattempttorepairtheinstrumentonyourown;allrepairsshouldbecarriedoutbyaqualiedtechnician.

PREVENTING RADIO/TV DISTURBANCE
Thisinstrumentoperatesonthe radiofrequencyband.If it isnotinstalled correctlyandstrictly in compliancewiththe
instructionsprovideditmaydisturbthereceptionofradio-televisionappliances.Althoughtheinstrumentyouhavepurchased
hasbeendesignedincompliancewithapplicablelawsandinsuchawayastoprovidereasonableprotectionagainstsuch
disturbances,thereisnoguaranteethatthesewillnotoccur.Tocheckwhetheranydisturbanceyouareexperiencingisin
factproducedbyyourinstrument,turnitofftoseeifthedisturbancedisappears.Turntheinstrumentonagaintoseeifthe
disturbancereappears.Onceyouarecertainthatyourinstrumentisinfactcausingthedisturbance,takeanyofthefollowing
measures:
•AdjusttheantennaoftheradioorTVreceiver.
•PlacetheinstrumentinadifferentpositionwithrespecttotheradioorTVreceiver.
•Placetheinstrumentfurtherawayfromthereceiver.
•Connecttheplugoftheinstrumenttoanothersocketsothattheinstrumentandthereceiverareconnectedtotwodifferent
circuits.
•Ifnecessary,callinaservicingtechnician.
POWER SUPPLY
•Whenyouconnecttheinstrumenttootherappliances(amplier,mixer,Midiinstrumentsetc.),ensurethatalltheunitsareoff.
•ReadtherecommendationsregardingRadioandTVdisturbances.
INSTRUMENT CARE
•Cleanthesurfacesoftheinstrumentwithasoftdrycloth.Neverusegasoline,dilutingagentsorsolventsofanykind.
OTHER PRECAUTIONS
Ifyouwishtouseyourinstrumentinaforeigncountryandhavedoubtsaboutthepowersupply,consultaqualiedtechnician
beforeyouleave.Theinstrumentshouldneverbesubjectedtostrongshocks.
CURRENT ADAPTERS
Whenconnectingthisinstrumenttothemainssocket,useonlytheKETRONcurrentadaptersuppliedwiththeinstrument.
Theuseofdifferentcurrentadaptersmaydamagethepowersupplycircuitsoftheinstrument.Itisthereforeoffundamental
importancetouseonlyanoriginaladapter,requestingthecorrectmodelwhenorderinganewadapter.
